What is the first thing you do once you get settled in Negril

I posted on TA but ya'll are so much more informative.

Ok. You're in Negril at your hotel bags on your bed in your room. You been to the grocery store, youve exchanged your money and now all you wanna do is: What?
Where is your first swim?
Where do you go for your first rum punch?
Where do you pick you your first red stripe?
Where do you pick up your first patty, jerk chicken, fruit, soup snack?
Where do you have your first sit down meal?
Where do you do your first "P.A.R.T.Y?"

Soon come Oct 28th Catcha Garden then on to CCLP Oct31- Leaving Nov 4th but I believe they might have to come and get me this time around.

please I don't even unpack first! I get my bathing suit on and start the adventure on the beach. wherever my feet take me

Given how late we arrive this year...probably go to sleep.

Usually, by the time I arrive it is about 5-6pm. Already have had my first or second drink on the way and have eaten some great jerk chicken/fish or curried goat. Once the bags are in the room........gotta stop and head out to see the many friends of the resort. May have dinner about 8pm and then chill time to unpack so that I can be ready to enjoy my first full day in Negril. Awake refreshed, organized, and ready to enjoy my first full day! Generally, no time to swim, etc...but the next day........Oh my...ready to go!!! The best part of my year has begun.......take it all in and enjoy to the max!!!!!!!!!! Counting down the days to the best time of my year! Perfection!

Love of my life and I go and find our friend Richard and usually have drinks together and catch up. And no unpacking here either usually until the next day ��������

We drop our bags, grab a drink from the hotel bar and just stand with our feet in the ocean for a few while we take it all in with a blessed feeling that we made it back and then from there wherever the wind takes us! Usually to yellowbird for a dirty banana and Niahs for a patty:D

Go to Catcha for dinner.

My wife wants me to unpack but I need a red stripe. Hit the bar at White Sands.

Drop the bags have a sub, and head to the water~~ With red stripe in hand!!

Drop the bags, a smoke & a drink (rum creme on da rocks)
Gaze at the water.
Ooooh & aaaah that I'm really, truly finally, there!!!
Then always, LTU for dinner & a visit with old friends!!!

Now that I said it I am really getting twitchy for my holiday!!!

Unfortunatly I am cursed w. OCD w. a touch of AR tendency thrown in for good measure so I just have to tackle the unpacking first so that I can relax. Usually we don't get to the Hotel until right at sunset or later so my main goal would be to get something to eat if we haven't stopped along the way. The first day we go get our phones turned on and then the fun begins. Usually I have a massage booked to ease away the tension from travel day. We go visit Collette, and say hello to the some of the ppl. at RV , maybe stop at the soup kitchen to let the ladies know I'm here. Stop and get some liquid crack in the form of OJ from Shamrock, OMG I could guzzle the whole bottle it's that good. One of our first meals would be at The German Bar for either Pizza or Schnitzel.

To the bar...then order a "strong rum punch".

Cold one, light one, feet in da wahtah

Once I'm settled, I look around a bit and then go to find friends.

I'm so jealous! Once we get to the hotel (Catcha) we have already has soup and chicken from Biggas and like Yetta have already had a nice drink! So the husband has a smoke and we saddle up to the bar for some great conversation and the best rum punches around. Have a great time Nashville Negril!

drop the bags, change into a bathing suit and head for the beach

take off shoes and insert feet in sand...the rest just kinda comes natural.

That's a great start. The only thing missing is Kingsley getting me there with a 12pk of beer for us to sip on.

Jesswade, you described our 1st trip to a T! And we're not going to change a thing...in 25 more weeks...:cool: (oh how I dream about that Bigga's chicken!)

This year we are going to be grabbing a beer and hitting the beach road...we won't be in Negril until after 9PM....

This is always an adventure, :) after about six or so Redstripe on the road, drop the bag in the room and hit the r4oad, or beach!

One trip I was staying at Fun Holiday dropped my stuff in the room and was off, several stops and hours later sometime around 2 am I get back. hmmm... what room am I in? look at the key, nope nuthin there, office, nope that's closed, hmmmm... well I guess I will start trying the key at my best guess, after about trying three or four doors, sucsesss.... lmao,

Change into my bathing suit
Fix a cocktail
Play sum reggae on my speakers
Unpack
Wait for mi friend
Go get food (goat)
Sit out chill hit 1 or 2 clouds
Go to d Jungle Party hardy!
Head back get jerk chicken have another cloud and the rest is rated X lol call it a night!

Take delivery of the finest cold cuts and fresh rolls, make myself a sub, enjoy it, relax, and repeat as necessary!

Drink, sweat, smoke, swim, repeat!!!

Sex On The Beach and a Red Stripe...... at a bar of course!

My bags may be settled in my room at the Rockhouse, but it will take a good half hour before I'm in there with them. Every few steps is a stop and hug or smile and chat with the extraordinary staff, starting with the front desk girls to security, to the gardeners and housekeepers that are all like family. Eventually, I get to my room, change into my swimsuit, and head to the pool. Another 1/2 hour of greetings and updates with with the pool bartenders and chef, drink my first of many dirty bananas, order snapper sandwich from the grill, connect with my crew that may have arrived before me, and settle in for the sunset with 2 for 1 drink specials. Eventually we head to Pushcart for pre-dinner drinks and live music from the mento band before our first night dinner at Rockhouse restaurant. Ahhhhhh, I can't wait for February!!

My daughter just landed in Jamaica today. I arranged for her to use Club Mobay upon arrival. So her first experience in Jamaica lasted hours in the airport LOL. I called her using viber to find out what was going on. I reached her two hours after arriving and she was having drinks in Club MoBay, said she and her boyfriend made lots of friends, and was laughing at the fact the airlines misdirected her luggage to Miami. She brushed me off and I haven't heard from her since. I imagine she eventually left Club Mobay. Sigh. Back to work up north. Totally obsessed with her being down there. Dreaming the dream.

Our goal is to get to the hotel as soon as possible, so we don't bother stopping for groceries on the way in from the airport. The first thing I do once we get settled in is, hit the local market (usually L&M or Wise Choise - depending on where we are staying). We pick up some Red Stripes, water, juice and snacks to tide us over for a couple days. The first day we like to stay on the property, get reacquainted with the staff, watch the sunset, and patronize the onsite restaurant and bar for dinner. We then rest up for day 2 which is when we really get out and explore.

We typically unpack a little, but at that point it depends where we're staying and if we have friends in town at the time. If were on the beach we usually have friends to met up with and check out the grounds\beach, maybe have a drink at the hotel bar but usually after that is done its off to Pee Wee's for a drink and then DeBar for dinner. If were staying on the cliffs we will make a trip to the store and maybe have a drink at the hotel before heading out to Pee Wee's and DeBar.

normally we land about 2 15 ish, have a few red stripes on the way to Rooms,the wife checks us in usually at 5 ish while i get us reaquainited with the staff and old friends staying at the resort, by the time Lisa informs me that we have our special room at 5 ish i am already comming in from a swim in the sea, except last year when i met up with pool guy windsor at Sunnyside before i took my swim, soon come
