Having watched every TV show that has to do with Jamaica, I think the name comes the place known as the giddy house in Kingston. It was left crooked after the Port Royal earthquake and is said to make people feel giddy when they walk through it.
I am going to put this place on our 2 do list

I'd seen this on the Travel Channel.... per the embossing over the side archway, this structure is one of Britain's old artillery storage bunkers, I believe.

It's right before the old 23/7 bar....

I wanted to check them out so badly last trip, but they had sort of closed due to slow season. I met the chef/owner one day and he was so so charming. It is on my list for this reach for sure.
I just spoke to the a friend yesterday that advised me Giddy's on the beach in Negril has burned down recently and wont be reopening. Very sad.Quote:
