Tracking how many flights are scheduled to land
With the millions of apps out there, is there one to see how many flights are scheduled to land at MBJ on a particular day in the future? We arrive in three weeks and I am debating Club MoBay for our arrival (already booked it for our departure). Would love to know what is all scheduled that day around our arrival time.
If there is not such an app.......I get a kickback when one of you boar dies develops it!

we stayed at a hotel in MoBay first trip to Jamaica, and there was a plane going over us on the beach every 15 min, so I am curious too!

Check arrivals on the airports website the week before your fly. Should be close to what you encounter when you go. http://www.mbjairport.com/

Well, it isn't very high tech, but you could go to the MBJ airport site and check the arrivals. You'd have to manually count them, but I would think they must have the Winter schedule running, so any Tuesday should give most Tuesdays, no? Or check closer to your date. Of course, that doesn't take into account the flights that will be coming in your day because of weather fubars the day or days before ... snowstorms and such. But it's a start until Rob gets that app up and running for us! :)

Oh. Looks like LBR had the same idea .... he was posting while I was typing! AND he included the link - why didn't I think of that? :)

In addition you can access the website from your phone at m.mbjairport.com . Nice to have when checking things when making the trek back home.

flightstats.com, only works for up to 3 days or so prior
Re: Tracking how many flights are scheduled to land
If you are arriving late morning and into the first few hours of the afternoon I would think there are tonnes of flights at that time. We come in on a flight at 7:30PM and its usually dead in the airport then.
Re: Tracking how many flights are scheduled to land
I've used flightstats to check the day of the week. If you arrive on Sat, check for two Sats prior to see. It's usually the same and gives a good feel.

Flights Scheds usually change to high season Dec15.

Sunday morning....best time to land from NYC. No others in sight!
Re: Tracking how many flights are scheduled to land
the problem with all of these sites is they don't tell you how full the flights are, if you really want to know, try to book on one of the flights arriving around yours and see how many seats are left.

Nor do they tell you how many desks will be open at immigration...

very good point. As an example, we landed the Saturday before Christmas 2 years ago around 2pm. figured it would be busy so we bought Club MoBay, saved us about two hours. Last year we arrived on New Years Day and correctly figured if wouldn't be busy, got through in less than 15 minutes.
