Red Stripe

Anyone who has been or is in Negril now, can you tell me how much a case of Red Stripe is? Thank you:cool:

Red Stripe beer is never going to cost less than the economical USA brands that can be purchased for as little as 7 or 8 dollars a "12 pack" at groceries in the States.
It's good beer; on par with premium North America brands. I won't cost as much as Bud or Molson at home but it will be cheap enough.
Hard liquor (rum, local vodka) is the bargain in Jah; not beer.
It's actually difficult to find a whole 'case' of beer outside of the beer truck. You might have to hit the supermarket for a case.
Stripe is more commonly available in 6 or 12 packs. Figure on about a US buck a bottle in stores and 2 or 3 dollars at a bar.

We usually get cases at HiLo, so that's the price I'm looking for, thank you

Hi-Lo or Valuemaster are good bets.

Like everybody says bigger supermarkets usually have the best deals. So if you are driving a rental buy a case in Sav or MoBay, etc... Best prices I have found were in a large S-market in Kingston. Not sure who in Negril has best deal.

I used to bring a Colman Cooler with me to JA loaded with stuff as one of my checked baggage. Would fill it with ice and always have cold ones on hand. Used to save a ton on my bar bills. Red Stripe 6pack sells for around 800j or $7us. plus deposit. This would make a case around 3200j or $28us plus deposit.

I hope they have a truck outside of the Hi-Lo when I go on my first excursion to shop for supplies. They are going to need one after I am done! :)

I heard Red Strip was going to be available in cans. Has that happened yet. If so, is Red Strip Light in can's as well?

The stepson was drinking cans of Redstripe in October - he bought them at MegaMart. I don't remember seeing them in Negril, but I wasn't looking, nor do I remember seeing cans of light, even at the MegaMart.
