What I've heard for NYE:
Luciano at Seastar
Big party, live music at Negril Park, close to town, FIREWORKS
Travellers NYE gala (dinner, live music and DJ)
Stone love and Renaissance sound (two groups of djs) playing New Years eve at wonderland, negril. stone love is awesome every time they do a show in negril.
Is wonderland at the Riu?

I have seen sea turtles when snorkeling the reef and the cliffs. However, not real frequently. Whenever I see them, it is phenomenal!!! The more you snorkel, the better the chance. Good luck! I hope to see some this year too! Soon come!Quote:

New Years Eve was quite a celebration when fireworks were part of it. In '07 - '08 the entire beach and beach road were jam packed with people and traffick. Food vendors were plentiful and everyone was in a good mood. It was a very enjoyable experience.
Bring back the fireworks. :)

Anything for Christmas time frame? We are there Dec 19th - 30
Wondering the same thing...concerts have been pretty sparse the past few holiday seasons. There is a post regarding Chronixx concert on the 20th of December in Falmouth. Definitely should be a good one. This young man is really talented and more roots reggae. I hope there will be some in Negril also. Hopefully, someone will post if there are any signs up along the roundabout.

Please see my separate post about the Chronixx concert in Falmouth on Dec 20th. So far one other couple has expressed interest.
Linston will be in charge of transportation, so we will be in good hands.

We'd love to see Chronixx.. unfortunately we are staying in Mobay the first few days.. and are just getting to Negril on the 19th.. don't think we will be up for a long trip away from Negril at that point..
