Mini trip report - day 1

Mini report. More later this week. First thought of the day.......

-Arrived MBJ at 250 after a long travel (left hotel for airport at 3 am).
-Opted for club mobay due to high amount of flights at that time. (Thank you boardies for telling me where to research this!!!!)
-arrived to find lines UP THE RAMP for immigration. ETA to desk per immigration folks was two hours or more. Holy cats! Worst I have EVER seen. Here comes Georgette from Club Mobay - "follow me!". Zoomed through the line and changing clothes (AFTER CUSTOMS and GETTING BAGS!) in 20 minutes. The whole way, Georgette was soooooooo helpful. Looked at our forms (I always screw something up!) and was very professional. BEST $100 EVER SPENT. EVER.
- as we zoomed through, fear hit me....... Our driver (LINSTON!!!) would surely not be there so early with a forecast of two hour wait for immigration alone. SURPRISE! Linston and his massive smile waited outside! Love him. What a hard working kid (he may be my age, but I see him as a kid!). Best. Driver. Ever!!!!
- drive to negril lovely. Had not sprayed for mosquitoes and a few got us at airport/on drive. If Chick V gets us, I'll be PISSED!!!!
- got to a Rayon. Supposed to be at Sea Wind.... You know the story. Pansy saved us. Not sure how the hotel would be.... Pleasantly surprised! Great spot, nice pool, very decent room. Clean, well kept. Happy girl! And met Ms. Pansy... Class act that is hands on. Happy wisconsin gal!!!!
- invited to a lovely Christmas dinner by pansy herself, but we passed. Not feeling social- we are wiped. What a great perk of being here though!
Sprayed for mosquitoes and hit the beach in search of food (last meal 24 hours previous). Ms. Sonia's was closed for Christmas, so we went to Norma's. Ate there several years ago (unmemorable?) but they had no buffet (and we wanted a menu option...and not anything swanky). Home run! Rasta pasta GREAT!
Question- who has the best Rasta pasta on negril?!?!
Back at rayon. Wiped. More in coming days including pictures.

Bottom line:
Peos: club mobay! Linston!, Rayon, Rasta pasta at Norma's!!!! And......just the unreal feeling that we are back. Not remotely in the vibe yet, but soon come.
The 10 days will fly......wishing work days went this fast!!!!
Cons: nothing yet.... Except my hypochondriacal fear of contracting Chick V!!! ;)

Another Wisconsin Female heading down Tuesday. Will be visiting Rayon would love to meet you. And from someone who has had Chick V i still travel down 4th time in last 7 months this coming week.

Hey Shelly k! Hopefully paths will cross. We're in the cliffs by that time but still hit the beach often during the day!

I'm on the cliffs everyday that is my happy place I love the cliff jumping. Xtabi everyday and trying to visit a few other places this time also. Planning to do the Pub crawl this trip also.
