Banks that don't charge foreign transaction fees on ATM withdrawal
Anyone have thoughts on which banks do not charge foreign transaction fees on ATM cash withdrawal?

Scotia Banks with a Bank of America atm card.

Bank of America. We used it at ATMs all throughout the world and never had a foreign transaction fee. It also has a chip, which you MUST have on a credit or debit card outside the US.

There may not be a foreign transaction fee, but you still have to pay a local processing fee assessed by the Scotia, correct? I think B of A used to refund this charge, but that is no longer the case.
My local bank (Conestoga Bank in PA) doesn't charge a foreign trans fee, but I still have to pay a charge assessed by the machine. I think it was up to $5 the last time I used a ScotiaBank ATM in November.

Schwab High Yield Investor Checking Account. Its FREE FREE FREE And they also rebate any ATM fees you are charged by a machine. Excellent service. It comes bundled with a free Brokerage Account, and you do not have to do any trading with them. I use that part like a savings account.

For Canadians, Tangerine and Scotia. Tangerine is better as there are literally NO fees whatsoever for banking.

Sadly this is no longer the case. I was hit for almost $8 each time I pulled out 30,000 JMD two weeks ago.

From PayPal website:
PayPal Debit MasterCard Fees:
Foreign Transaction Fee (Debit Card Signature Purchase To or Debit Card ATM Withdrawal From)
1%; Per purchase from a non-US merchant or use at a non-US ATM. This fee will apply even if the transaction does not require a currency conversion.

Scotia is still in BofA's Global Alliance. BofA waives the $5 flat usage fee for using a non-BofA ATM (Scotia ATM) but still assesses an international transaction fee (3%). They've done this for several years now. You may be able to get international transaction fees refunded if you have enough assets with BofA to qualify for their Platinum Privileges program.

I have no fees from NCB ATMs, My bank is a small local bank on the MoneyPass network. There is a 1% foreign transaction fee from the card provider though(VISA) but even with that I still usually get a better rate than the cambios.

Scotiabank account. Their service generally sucks but with branches all over mexico and the caribbean I keep my account going for travel use only.

We bring some cash but put almost everything on our Capital One Venture card. They don't charge any foreign exchange fees and the miles add up. We've only had it for a little over a year now and it already paid for two airline tickets and hotel rooms.
