Re: Immigration and Customs
There are self check in terminals on the left in immigration if you want. I use Club Mobay myself. With huge lines in immigration a customs they got me through in about 15 mins. including getting my luggage.
Re: Immigration and Customs
I keep reading about the self-service kiosks... but if there is not an attendant to direct you there, can you just walk up to the darn things if you're flying in on United, Delta, Continental, American, etc.?
Re: Immigration and Customs
That I can't say but I don't know why not
Re: Immigration and Customs
Self service kiosks...you are kidding, right? I never saw them and no one was directing us towards them. Im just suspicious about the whole thing. Sounds like they are slow on purpose to get more business for Club Mobay.
Re: Immigration and Customs
Not kidding, April Fools aside... just as many other larger international hubs have done, MoBay and Kingston have installed some of these to help alleviate peak wait times. If I were the paranoid type, I'd say that IC agents could be slowing down out of fear of losing their jobs... but I'm not.
Re: Immigration and Customs
we used the self service kiosks as directed by airport personnel on march 19th and were waiting for our taxi in 15 minutes! this was at 3:30, went very smooth...
Re: Immigration and Customs
Is flying in on a week day better than coming in on the weekend?

For sure and Saturdays are generally the worst.
Re: Immigration and Customs
Thanks! I was trying to decide on buying the Club Mobay for arrival but I think I will just pass and take my chances since it is a early morning flight on a Tuesday...
Re: Immigration and Customs
I just must be lucky all these years I'm been coming Sangster..never waited longer that 20 mins..this year my girlfriend & I were literally turned the corner to see not one person in the waiting line & I did see the kiosks off to the left..I always fly on Tuesdays or Wednesdays....As far as Club Mobay goes I think it's just another way to spend Club MoMoney...in the 22 years I've been going never needed it. I spend enough in Negril the 6 weeks I'm there...with no regrets..ever! See you next year Negril..same time...same station.

We bought Club Mobay for our trip in February arriving on a Tuesday early afternoon, our plane was the only one hitting customs so the Club Mobay did not speed things up at all
Re: Immigration and Customs
I agree. If you are arriving early on a weekday, there shouldn't be much of a line at Immigration. Club MoBay is probably not necessary.
Re: Immigration and Customs
Feb arrival, they were only allowing folks from specific airlines use the kiosks (not mine lol). I pondered while progressing in line if they were testing the system by comparing passenger lists with kiosk reports.
