Pork Pit on the Hip Strip. Great Jerk Chicken
Meat patties at the airport.
Biggas for us too for hot chicken and cold beer, he has good soup too.
This year we are stopping at Border Jerk, can't wait. :)
Love stopping at and taking friends to the MVP Smokehouse...just on the edge of Montego Bay/Bogue.
Fantastic food and choices...nice people...good prices. For the oldtimers...MVP owners were part of the popular Native Restaurant.
Mmmmmm....Boston-style jerk pork and sausage. :)

Always grab a couple of patties and soda while leaving the airport. When leaving Jamaica we check our luggage then head to the same place (where you wait for your taxi ride) for a final Jamaican patty.
Regards,
Bob
We head to scotchies have lunch with our driver then on to negril
Vern's fruits and vegetables for a fresh tomato
Bigga's
Rum punch at Club MoBay keeps me going until Negril where a complimentary fruit basket of pineapple, mangoes, bananas and papayas await. I always shop at the Mobay Mega Mart or Hi Lo after leaving the airport.
Bigga's, unless we're really hungry in which case Pork Pit in MoBay
Our flights usually arrive around lunchtime, so as soon as we exit the airport I'm ready for some food. We typically stop at Jerky's in MoBay as it is a convenient stop before we hit the road to the Negril. On our next trip, I want to try either Pork Pit or Scotchie's.
We tried MVP one time on our ride into Negril. The food was very good, however I was disappointed that they didn't have any chicken that day (we had curry shrimp instead). If you have your heart set on jerk chicken, you might want to call ahead to make sure they have some available - at least during slow season. Its a great location - just a few minutes outside MoBay on the road to Negril, so you don't have to go out of your way.
Sounds like your wanted elsewhere asap,
Departure day then IRIEchic?, maybe it was that high you feel when you arrive but Scotchies was awesome the last time there
We usually stop for patties in Lucea. Its usually too late for lunch and too early for dinner. Typically we're off to DeBar for jerk chicken for dinner once we get settled in our room.
I'll be stopping at Bigga's for the first time this trip. From the accolades here, yummm.
We usually head straight to Hi Lo in negril. ( after a stop at the cambio next door) we are always in such a hurry to just get to Nirvana that we know once we get there we won't want to leave for awhile!
