Looking for hotel recommendations
Mrs Sandman and I are excited for our return to Negril after a few year hiatus, but as we are coming during peak season next winter the place I wanted to stay is already booked (Whitesands).
We are splitting a 2 week trip between the cliffs and the beach, starting on the cliffs. which is booked. We have stayed at Country Country several times as well as Coco but are hoping to find a place for a bit less money, especially with the Canadian dollar in the crapper again.
Does anyone have any suggestions? We are looking at Travellers, price is good but not my favorite part of the beach, would rather closer to Coco. I am considering Rondel Village but I don't like their "bracelet" policy.
Re: Looking for hotel recommendations
I can give you some feedback after we stay at Travellers for the first time in July.
Have you considered Treehouse? We stayed 9 nights a few years back and had a good experience.
Re: Looking for hotel recommendations
We will definitely be booking before July, more like this week lol. We are considering Treehouse Harry, but would like to be a bit closer to the Coco area.
I guess I should mention budget- would like to stay between 150-175US a night including taxes. A/C, decent beach area and good security are important, TV not needed.
Re: Looking for hotel recommendations
Firefly has been nicely renovated...located near Coco.
Fyi...security id bracelets that Rondel uses are now being used at White Sands also.
Re: Looking for hotel recommendations

Re: Looking for hotel recommendations
What about Negril Palms? Last time we were there, the restaurant seemed lacking, but the motel itself was great for the price.

Sunquest Cottages. No online presence, you have to call.
Or Rayon across from Sunbeach. May be under your budget. Looked at Firefly this past high season, prices were high unless you go for a Secrets cabin.
Re: Looking for hotel recommendations
Travellers is good, stayed in January and March. Great customer service. What you get for the price esp high season can't be beat.
Re: Looking for hotel recommendations
I would also suggest firefly speak to Andrea directly as well as Rayon speak to Pansy directly. I too have thought a lot about Travellers gets great reviews and pricing is fantastic

I agree with Firefly. We stayed there in Feb and loved it. The new owners do everything they can to make you comfortable. Great view and nice spot on the beach. Here is the view we had from our room's balcony

Just spent a week at sunquest. ..rustic...but clean....and priced right...good beach and security....
Re: Looking for hotel recommendations
Negril Tree House is not that far from Coco.. Was there 3 weeks ago and walked to Coco every day for Happy Hour-- (maybe a 5 minute walk up the beach)... Snagged a great deal for NTH on living social, and they have a really good breakfast buffet, as opposed to the continental breakfast at CCLP
Re: Looking for hotel recommendations
Well we are all booked. First week on west end, week 2 on the beach.
Re: Looking for hotel recommendations
Where did you ultimately decide for your beach stay?
Re: Looking for hotel recommendations
Booked at ocean front room at Rooms on the beach. I have eyed it up in the past, I like the little cement barrier they have. Gives you the option of being close to the water or having a bit of no hassle privacy while lounging on the beach. Happy with the rate, right within what I was hoping to pay. With the dirt cheap rate we got at Seastar it will help make up for the sky high flight prices.

Was the restaurant open? Someone posted on TA that most of the staff and menu from Patrick's was back.
