Nice Rob!
This is a great event. I've done it twice and volunteered once.
And plan on doing it again in '16 or '17.
Congrats and respect on the sponsorship!
If we get our move to Florida squared away in time, I am going to do this.
Here is the 2015 Reggae Marathon Fact Sheet - there is lots of helpful info! Come on down and make this marathon your own!

Cheerleaders wanted at Treehouse gate to cheer on the runners
Bob and I walked the 10K in the Marathon last year. We were going to do it again this year but Coco priced rooms at peak season rate and rooms are sold out so we are coming home before race day this year.
Planning on running again for the fourth time in a row
Pool guy did you run marathon and if so how was your time? I ran the Disney marathon in January. My first but 5;30 not so good. I am strongly considering the Reggae. Got I tear in my meniscus that holds me back some but I just try to deal with it. Trying to avoid surgery. Boston Marathon is my goal and probably all I have left in the knees.
I am a 46 to 47 minute 10 km regular, only ran a half one time but might do the half this year, trying to beat my 1:52 half in the Detroit marathon.
Thinking about the 10k. Maybe the half, but the temp and sun scares me...also, with the 10k, I'll have a redstrip in my hand that much sooner!
Just got the time off. Now for flights and a room...
edit: oh, just noticed the 5:15 start time. What time is sunrise? Prob not to worry about the sun, huh?

If you run the 10K you will be running before sunrise and finishing before it get too sunny and hot. The killer is the humidity
Ran the 10k last year and had a great time. There is plenty of water to drink on the course. Will be doing it again but not this year.
When you run just remember there is red stripe at the finish.
Picked up my bib for the NYC marathon and the Reggae Marathon peeps had a booth at the expo. Met Alfred and got some swag for already being registered!

PRESS RELEASE!
REGGAE MARATHON, HALF MARATHON & 10K DONATES UNUSUED BANNERS AND BUNTINGS TO THE JPS BANNA BAGS RECYCLING PROJECT
Reggae Marathon School Bags which were produced, in collaboration with JPS, as part of the event’s “greening initiatives”.
Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K has donated all old banners from its December, 2014 event and previous stagings to the JPS Banna Bags project for the creation of school bags for children in need.
The Banna Bags Project is a social outreach programme by JPS to convert unused corporate vinyl banners into attractive, sturdy and waterproof bags as an alternative to traditional expensive bags for children in need of support with school supplies.* The first beneficiaries of the BannaBags Project were young students in need of back-to-school supplies. Thereafter, students at the JPS Foundation Model Schools and children nominated by JPS employees have benefited.
Reggae Marathon decided to get involved as an extension of the brand’s “greening project”, where the organizers recycle and reuse materials at the staging of each event.
“We collect plastic bottles and other plastic materials at the annual event and hand them over to recycling plants.* In addition, we ask our runners to donate their ‘gently used’ shoes. These are collected in drums at each* event and given to young runners in need during the Grand Prix series,” said Alfred ‘Frano’ Francis, Race Director of the Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K.
The 15th staging of Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K is set for December 3 to 5 in Negril. To-date there has been a 29 per cent increase in registration compared to last year at this time.
