Re: Catch A fire Tour 2015
The Philly show is part of the annual Reggae in the Park festival, with Jamaican food vendors, etc. Children under 12 can enter for free. Should be an awesome event. I'll be there!

Asbury Park is a smaller venue with no seating so I prefer that over the Mann in Philly as far venue's go. Asbury Park is a bit closer but knowing the Philly show is part of a festival plus being a Saturday, I think I'll try to get tickets in Philly.

Good point, Kevin. I've been wanting to check out a show at the Stone Pony Summer Stage, but haven't gotten there yet. I'm also not a big fan of the reserved seats at the Mann, which is why I always go for the lawn seats. Of course, that means that I'm always further away from the stage.

Re: Catch A fire Tour 2015
Wow, I use to see blues bands at the Cabooze when I lived in Minnesota in the 80's

I also believe that is a holiday weekend. Traffic heading to\from the shore may be heavier then traffic going into Philly. NYC is still an option too. Decisions desicions.......

Re: Catch A fire Tour 2015
I'm thinking the 8 hr drive to Denver may be worth it, even though I'll be in Negril the next month. Something about Colorado and reggae just go hand in hand though.... ;)

Re: Catch A fire Tour 2015
Same here. I used to go see bands at The Cabooze in Minneapolis in 84 & 85 when I lived there! This should be a great show with the Marley's

Stone Pony are a bunch of crooks. When I was there a few years ago, security was confiscating everyone's Sub materials and throwing it in a trunk of a car parked at that side. That really happened.

Another Minneapolitan here. This will be an outdoor show. I've got my tix, gonna be fun!

One of the reasons I opted for Philly over Stone Pony is because Philly has decriminalized. Worst that can happen is you get a ticket with a relatively minor fine.

Re: Catch A fire Tour 2015
Maine State Pier, anyone?
-
Re: Catch A fire Tour 2015
YaMon,
The missus and I just bought tickets for the Maine show. Gives us a chance to take a little vacation and stop in and see my parents over the labor day weekend. Looking forward to both Reggae and Maine seafood!! It is over five long months before we get back to Negril, so this gives us something to look forward to before then.

Re: Catch A fire Tour 2015
TedP.... Might see you there! Hoping my brother can make it down from Bangor for the festivities. Thinking of booking the Hampton Inn just down the street. I've never been to a show on the pier, curious to see how it all works! :D excited for some live Marley-s and friends!

-
Re: Catch A fire Tour 2015
Going to the Boston show! Can't wait.

Re: Catch A fire Tour 2015
Im heading down to the Maine St. Pier also. Saw Etana there last summer and it made me think of the old Negril Escape shows... expect it to be super loud and tight as its a real narrow venue. Im actually not going to get a ticket- trick is just head to the top floor of the parking garage. Perfect view and sound- its usually a big party up there! Have fun all. Cant wait for Tarrus!!!
