The West End Def The BEST End...

I'm back from my first stay on the West End at Tensing Pen and I was a little weary about staying there but mi friend I gotta tell ya it was absolutely stunning words cant describe the experience! Now I can no longer visit without splitting my trip between the beach/cliffs... I LOVE the West End!
I'm not good at describing my day-to day as it's pretty simple..lol..but I have a few pics I will like to share soon come...

Also, quick question I was trying to book TP for November and they are sold out...so would Catcha Falling Star measure up to TP?

Whaaaaaat? I have to call you westend girl now lol! I'll never leave the beach, but I'll visit lol.... can't wait to see some pics!!!

Spent 14 years on the beach and swore I would never leave.... In 2006, a boardie suggested I try the cliffs, it was awesome and again I swore I would never leave the cliffs...

Next month I'll be on the beach with GF and her two adult children. They have never been to Negril and they want the beach.

I'm going to stop swearing about the beach or cliffs and just go!

I know what you mean VVHT...the Cliffs caught me by surprise I didn't think I would like it...so now I have to do the split lol! And you cant go wrong with either just go!
I'll post pics this evening left my tablet at home with all the pics.

We stayed at tensing for the first time this year too and first time in the west end loved them both and now have to split our trip

Yes I know the feeling!

Irie -- Catcha is nice, but it's not Tensing. That said, Catcha has Ivan's, and I love that place. There is just something about Tensing that makes it special. People, setting, I dunno, but I love it more than any other resort we've visited.

If you go in November, particularly over Thanksgiving week, you'll see what amounts to a really strange extended family. Most of the people going over thanksgiving come year after year... This will only be our sixth at tensing (but well beyond that for thanksgiving week spent on the island). I commented to my wife las year, that it really felt like a family dinner on thanksgiving night.

As far as them being sold out for November, I am not surprised. We booked last year, while we were there and were unable to get our usual spot (red birch) as someone booked it literally the morning of the day we went to the office for our reservations.

That place is addictive... It literally pops into my head a few times a week. I daydream about napping in my favorite hammock hut with all three dogs keeping guard.

It makes me happy when folks discover the 'West End'. You can visit the beach every day and then retreat to the peace, quiet and beauty of the 'cliffs' and surrounding properties. It's all good in Negril.

Yep, did Couples Negril 10 years ago as a honeymoon and had a blast....but went back last October, stayed at the Seastar, and fell completely in love with Negril all over again, and only made it to the beach once in our 9 day visit! Definitely a West End guy here, literally counting down the days til I can go back! I am at EXACTLY 150 days right now!!!

I was introduced to Negril & the West End by the folks I went there with in 1988..fell in love with it all immediately....with the exception of some 4 or 5 years of going to other places I came back & to Negril/West End again...you either get it..or you don't....Since I rent a motorcycle for my 6 week stay I make it to the beach everyday..but always look forward to returning home to the West End for the vibe & another beautiful sunset from my seaside 2nd floor lanai perch....can't wait for late Jan. 2016 for my next stay!!

We were sold on the west end since before we booked our first trip. The last few years we split our time with friends that stay on the beach but this year our entire stay is on the west end again.

I'm doing the spilt now but I'll probably start doing the entire trip on the west end unless my girl JoJo is at the beach she's the only one that can pull me away!!! lol

I know next time we go back we will most certainly stay at Tensing for part of our trip.

Little swimming, lots of drinking, Sips and Bites and then to Mi Yard. Man I'm so jelly.

I jumped the bridge numerous times. But my wife was too apprehensive. I wouldn't walk to Mi Yard unless it was during the day. And generally I am only at Mi Yard around 3-6 AM. LoL.
