Re: Kiosks and Club Mobay
We were just there 4 weeks ago, and there was nothing new on the arrival side.
Re: Kiosks and Club Mobay
We opted not to use Club Mobay on our recent trip. Glad we didn't as it only took about 10-15 minutes to go thru immigration. The kiosks were being used, but I'm not sure how the agents decide who uses them, as our flight was directed to the regular lines.

The kiosks are very handy but it also depends on the time of year (busy season)...since they are pretty new folks are a little confused how to use them so it holds up the line... if it's slow season I would do without Club Mobay...I was just there 2wks ago and used the kiosks no problem 15mins tops!
And if you do Club Mobay but have checked bags it kinda defeats the purpose as you get out quick and sometimes quicker then your luggage so your still waiting with the others for your luggage...just something else to consider:)
Re: Kiosks and Club Mobay
Were are they located? Never saw them.
Re: Kiosks and Club Mobay
They were there November and we also used them this trip. We did club Mobay in November and they took us to kiosks anyway. Both times we beat the luggage. With and without mobay
Re: Kiosks and Club Mobay
Last trip I walked right up to an agent --- no wait at all - (March 2015)
Re: Kiosks and Club Mobay
Kiosks and new immigration forms have sped things up dramatically.
There are assistants there to help with any confusion with the kiosks, but I was in my taxi 15 minutes after the flight landed.
I would only use Club Mobay during holiday-peak season.

IRIEchic, good to hear, I'll save the $200US and have another dinner on the cliffs with the money!
VVHT, soon come, but not soon enough!
Re: Kiosks and Club Mobay
The Kiosks are hit aand miss. Last Feb I arrived and having read about them here, wanted to use them. Many people were using them as directed by airport staff. I was told I couldn't use the kiosks. I found out later that only airline flights that sent the flight manifest ahead were allowed to use the kiosks. There is no way to know in advance if your airline will provide MBJ the manifest with adequate lead time. Having said that, the fact that many can use the kiosks will reliably reduce the lines at immigration even if it turns out your flight cannot.
Re: Kiosks and Club Mobay
MoBay Club on the way out was SPECTACULAR ........... sushi, caviar, great drinks, time to relax ! ! Will do that every time. On arrival I guess it would depend on time of year, how many other flights, are you waiting for others , etc...
Re: Kiosks and Club Mobay
We arrived on a Sunday back in April, at the same time as four other aircraft. The kiosks were fairly busy so we opted for the regular immigration line. Our wait was only about 5 minutes. In fact the line for Club Mobay at immigrations was longer than the normal line.
Re: Kiosks and Club Mobay
I experienced the "slow-down" in the Club MoBay arrival service in April when the arrival hall was packed. The 2 agents appeared to me to be purposely slowing the process. Getting up from their cubicles and leaving for a few moments, talking with each other and laughing and looking about. I watched as agents in the regular lines cleared 2-3 people in the time it took the Club MoBay to clear one! Needless to say, I was not happy. But so it go in Jamaica.
I wrote to Club MoBay with my complaints (the lounge was over sold and very crowded) and the person at the Customs desk for the arrival Service was not there. I am trying again at Christmas time, so we shall see.
All in all, it is well worth the money during busy times for me. Even with the delays, it still saved a lot of time in April. It's also nice to have a place to grab some food and drinks and change clothes in a comfortable, clean bathroom. Sets the right mood for the drive to Negril.
