Negril Ambulance/EMS needs supplies

Bulk gauze
Trauma dressing
Gloves (Large or XL)
Sphygmomanometer ( for checking Blood Pressure) and Stethoscope
Portable suction machine
Surgical blade
Betadine solution
Medical scissors
Tape
Obstetric kit
Thermometer
Pupil gauge
Triangular bandage

These items are in very short supply or depleted right now. Any donations will help improve the quality of services provided by Negril’s EMS.

If you have access to any of these items, please consider bringing them to Gail at the Tree House Resort when you visit. Items from the list that are beyond their expiration date are OK as long as the packaging is intact and not soiled.

If you have access to more supplies than you can carry in your luggage, contact me and I can help get the supplies to Negril.

We just received another Blood Pressure monitor from Katie

Great to hear.

I'm concentrating on the more obscure things, like the Obstetric Kit.

I will remember to bring supplies with me next reach....unfortunately that won't be until next year....good news is that I am a nurse and can get my company to donate most of these needed items.

I am working on getting the supplies for you and will be there on 7/13. I sent you a message.

I will be there in November staying at Couples Negril (11/21-11/28). I am the Director of Health Services for a Continuous Care Retirement Center and an RN. I have been collecting some supplies to bring with me on my trip. I can give you the supplies and you can maybe share what you can not use. Mostly I have dressings and ostomy supplies. I go to Negril twice a year and will be collecting for each trip. Please give me your contact information if you are interested.

Great supplies are coming in. I have donated there once last season as well as the healthcare center. I have someone that want to donate an AED to me but curious to any issues getting this through in carry on luggage with batteries(lithium).I will start the research but thought if you have any input on this let me know!I haven't shipped anything down so any info will help get the equipment to Negril. We are blessed to have people that want to make Negril a safer place!!
