What would you do.............?

I am coming with a newbie in Dec. however we're flying in from different cities. My flight gets in at 9:30am and hers gets in at 12:40.
What would you do for the 3 hours? I'm not sure about her making her first trek to Negril alone (even though we are going to use Kenny).
I don't think it's worth driving to Negril and back to airport. So here's what I was thinking my options would be:

a.Hang around airport maybe eat at Groovy Grouper
(if it was later I'd be thinking lunch at Scotchies)

b.Take taxi to Mobay and chill at Dr.'s Cave beach (would be lugging suitcase)

c.go on quick tour nearby like Rocklands bird sanctuary or rose hall great house.

What would you do?

Check you bags at the baggage storage place in the terminal - I think it's still there.
Then grab a taxi and go down to Dr's Cave & Hip Strip - hang out and chill. . . .

That's what I would do (have done)

I am familiar wit de hip strip, I stayed at Drs Cave & Coral Cliffs Casino & there is a cool coffee bar at Drs Cave hotel.

Or I can take a small plane to Cuba, haha wink wink!!!!!!!

Hey, If I could check my bags safely at the airport,

Then TAXI!!! I would head out to The Brewery on the Hip Strip in Montego Bay.

Cool place up stairs overlooking the water and the best, and I mean best cheesburger you can find in Jamaica!

Then go back and meet your friend.

Enjoy!

Oh, I forgot to mention the seasoned french fries.
Man, the Cheese burger, with bacon and seasoned fries.

Ice cold Red Stripes, man yopu will be sitting pretty.

Double check on the left luggage as my airport guide tells me no left luggage at MBJ

I like the doctors cave idea.The luggage will not matter if you go there in a taxi and you grab a lounger.

Yea not so sure bout the stored luggage, but some airports do have lockers now that K3 mentioned it....I will check it out!!!!!!
Drs. Cave beach would b cool, I could watch her plane land then still have time to make it over to airport!!!

3 hrs or more of waiting won't really matter cuz I'll b in Sunny Jamaica just starting my vacay!!! By the time I hit Negril I'll b in full blown Jamaica Mode!!!!

I've walked by brewery before but didn't stop....French Fries sound yummy....love the fries & mashed potato in JA,what do they do to make them sooo good!!

Rockland is very cool and you would have enough time....but I don't think the birds are real active in the late morning. I think that the afternoon is the best time to go to Rockland.

common question on here......

I'd head to Negril........she's in good hands with Kenny........trust mi........

that 3 hours could easily turn into 4 or 5 or 6 hours difference.........
so you could spend two hours in MoBay and then head back to the airport.....
and then you might spending 2 or 3 hours or more in an Airport while on vacation.........
you could easily loose a half a day of your vacation somewhat waiting and waiting......
while you could have already started it in Negril.......
your choice.......mi know what this guy would do........lol

Marko, I totally would go straight to Negril but my newbie friend is tooo green!!! She'd be way to intimidated to come by herself.
Plus it's gonna be cool to make the drive with her to point stuff out etc....
I realize there might be delays but like I said it'll be IRIE just being in JA!!!
I'm gonna wait it out, maybe go to strip...depends......probably gonna end up hangin at the airport with some stripes.
The place outside the arrivals hall is it groovy grouper or island grill, can't remember right now???
I know there is a patty stand right?

The Groovy Grouper is the more expensive spot right in the arrivals area (outside) where the taxis meet people, with tables and a bar. Island Grill is in the departure area, inside the airport building and is fast food, thus fairly cheap. IG is outside security so you can hang there too but Groovy Grouper is closer to where your friend will come out. With 3 hours you could do both.

If you find you can store your luggage, go into MoBay (with a cell phone, ideally, so your friend or Kenny can tell you when to come back). If you can't, I'd say hang out at the airport.

Cool I never saw people up there before & I've eaten at that bar too!!!! will have to check that spot out!
