at check-out counter
..fumbling around for my money to pay

i always feel so rushed in Ja-supermarkets, and other stores at check-out
...unlike my experiences in-foreign,
in Jamaica they get you OUT of there quick ... NO delay when it comes time to pay

so,
me pay
..money all out of order ... fumble-ing fumble-ing .... i dump cash on counter and let cashier pull-out what she needs/wants.

weather...???
STILL hot, but not bad,
or
i'm getting acclimate

had a short-short shower earlier
so,
my laundry got wet-up,,, i.e., a second rinse
but
me no worried...'cause they'll be dried quick quick in the morning, by 'bout 6 AM...Guaranteed..!!!..

for my in-foreign and *new* in-Jamaica gear
i got a couple outfits of this & that

folks..!!!... you MUST put Duluth's stuff in your luggage on your next Ja-trip .... the stuff is GREAT..!!!.. .PERFECT for the island's tropical heat, humidity AND showers... light weight,,, dry fast and a bunch of other benefits..... get the underpants, and the long tail tee shirts/under shirts.

i'm test-driving some stuff brand name Sawyer insect repellents ..... so far,
it's OUTSTAND-ing

a bug story

shortly after i arrived back at-yard,
landlord drove up,
hopped out of taxi

before coming in house,
he pulled some box lunch leftovers from a black plastic bag and set it down on the ground for one of those stupid Ja-dogs.

dog gobbled up the grub

a big-BIG-GIANT bug came flying around the verandaH light,
hit the wall
fell on his back, struggling to get up

i grabbed a broom and flick-ed the bug over-so by the dog.

dog POUNCE-ed on the bug
and gobbled him/her up.

* sigh *
NO need to buy dog food down here..!!!..

last night
got a text message

TODAY,
this afternoon
when i went to check her
at her new place
to deliver school supplies
she ordered from Amazon,
which were deliver to me in foreign
and i carry-with to Jamaica.....she reminded me AGAIN about the Harvest Day church thing .....

she described previous Harvest Day things, activities etc.
....sounded like a USofA state fare, with live stock, and things, and whole roasted pig, and live & cooked rabbits, etc etc

I WILL be there..!!!...


had a GREAT-visit with mentor
and her new-landlord lady
...lots of laughs, jokes, fun, serious things, much-chat::::::::::good times

btw---landlord lady has a NICE property ...almost like a resort/guest-house in a Ja-tourist area
