i've DONE
every-thing i **had to do** for this trip

so,

Church & Harvest Day


Service was nice.
i was late.
should have been on time, to get a good front row seat

they had some cute girl pickneys doing a praise dance ..nice what i could see

church FULL..!!!..

MORE folks outside, listening and looking thru windows
....some were still working on set-up for after service festivities

Yesterday,
while in Negril,
standing on side of road
waiting to catch taxi to-Lucea
outside of FunHoliday:::::::::::::::::i saw something that puzzled me

now,
I/we always *hear* how things run-*differently* in-Jamaica,
but
this thing puzzled me

there were two VERY-young Ja-guys,
just leaving FunHoliday,
with two what looked-like from-foreign ladies, who were SIGNIFICANT-ly older than they Ja-guys

they walking along the BeachRoad.,,, facing the on-coming traffic
...two by two ... coupled up

this is where things get *different* [[ to my foreign-eyes & from-foreign experience/practices ]]]]

the guys were on the INSIDE
and
their female companions were on the OUTSIDE::::::closest to the on-coming cars.

:-(

now,
i know they drive on the left in Jamaica,
but do the men also walk on the much safer in-side...???...

opps..!!!.
a *correction* ---- is THIS a Negril thing-y .... 'cause i don't see no Jamaican guys walking their Ja-lady-friends, with the lady on the outside.

somebody(s) explain to me ----- please

I was walking the beach
checking-out things,

'twas HOT HOT HOT...!!..
sun super-bright ---- you needed welder's glasses, sun so bright ..... light from sky... light from sand

* whew *
was rough....thought i was gonna go blind.

i strolled into WhiteSands
to see somebody, and to get a bokkle of water

nope..!!..
me no get NO beer..!!!.. ---- i learned my lesson 'bout the heat & alcohol ... Nope... won't make THAT mistake again.

Highlights of chat with Gary

He was standing/waiting inside the China-man's place to get out of the rain TOO

He was on his way to work ... do his photo thing-y @ one of the Rui resorts, in Negril...been working there for over a year. Still doing gigs 'round Lucea, and other places, on the side.

*discovered* that outside the China-man store,
was ALSO a pick-up spot for several Negril resort workers
....employees ride FREE, back & forth .... and get free meals on their jobs
........this day @ this time, was Gary & 2 other ladies....they waiting for the 2-pm pick-up
............nice job-perk na tru ---- no taxi fare expense ... i.e., Ja $250 one-way to Negril.

2.......LOTs of place undergoing renovation and/or are closed but will be open in time for high-season ...'bout December-sh

an aside:::>>> that Grand Palladium resort, over-here by Lucea, NEEDS a paint job BAD...!!! .... presently it has a nasty drab color.

that sea salt, and tropical air, etc, will mash-up things in QUICK fashion.

another aside:::>>> some of you-all remember Mahogany Hotel in-Negril, from waaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the day........ Well, '''..The Doctor....''' is finally building something(???) on that site .... zinc fence is up, and things gwan, as we speak

ummmmmmmmmm... I KNOW exactly who to check, to find out EXACT-ly what's gonna be built there .......... stay tuned.


you won't believe all the renovations, demolition, etc, that's going on on the Hanover Parish side of Negril ----- they overhauling and redoing the entire strip. Me-personally, don't think they gonna be ready by high season.

this could have an effect on prices for lodge-ing this coming season ....... i.e., supply & demand

most importantly,
I told Gary about my *issues* with my landlord.

finally,
we pull off

when me reach yard,
landlord said nuff rain fall
to FILL up the 55 gallon drum, add to the 75 gallon drum, fill several 5-gallon buckets .... and assorted other water collecting containers.

* whew *

God IS soooooooooooooooo good, na tru

now,
i don't have do keep buy-ing bokkle water

i TOLD you, in an earlier post that He would *provide* na tru

An Observation / Realization::::::For YOUR good-health

the other day,
something flashed thru
my likkle old-pea-brain:::::>>>> Jamaican food-stuff, which are READILY and ABUNDANTLY available on-island, are PERFECT for your well-being health-wise

for the past several years,
i've been heavily involved in my now dearly departed mother,
with her health issues,,,,,
....fighting with that cruel, crazy, criminal USofA health system, with it's spineless doctors, who just wanna give you a pill or some other medication for whatever ailes ya. ..... they'll give you a pill for a hang-nail.

folks,
let food be your medicine .... do all you can to stay AWAY from dem doctors and their foolishness

things like the Ja-pineapple, & papaya WILL make it so you WON'T need Warfarin, or those other deadly blood thinner thing-ys

the coconut oil is fabulous

if you eat-Jamaican your health WILL improve.....your blood pressure WILL be **normal** with NO medications
....if did ***Jamaican*** with my mom, and she got better, in bunch of ways,,,, 'til she just got tired
............doctors were mad, 'cause I mashed-up their prescription plans
