Re: Single digit fidgeting??
Sandman, we are with you. Only 10 days for us till we arrive at CSA!
We've done AC before with good and bad luck, this year it's West Jet! Via Toronto, leave Edmonton at midnight and arrive in Montego at 220 pm.
Soon come
Re: Single digit fidgeting??
I'm with you. I leave Ottawa on Friday via Toronto and get in at 2:50PM. We are having a "heat wave" right now - it's 9C and looking like 8C on Friday so no storms this year - YAHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Single digit fidgeting??
I managed a week out of a small carryon and a backpack, and there were some things I didn't wear.
Re: Single digit fidgeting??
9 days and counting...made my last trip to the grocery store today!! Gotta focus on packing now! Next trip to the store will be Value Master, Wise Choice or M&L. Much more fun shopping there than it is at Kroger. :)
Hope to meet some of the boardies this holiday season. Safe trip to all and prayers that we all have clear skies...with no layovers!! :)

3 nights to go. Although my wife can't make this trip, looking forward to taking my best friend for his first visit. Also looking forward to having Linston for transfers for the first time.

Its not so much going, its the Walkerswood jerk spice and Cocomania rum we want to come home with. We have to come home thru the nightmare known as Pearson airport in Toronto so will have to check baggage. We went to Europe last summer for 23 days carry-on only. What a refreshing way to travel.
I think we decided to check 1 small suitcase, actually its a carry-on size, just to load up up Walkerswood and rum.

Re: Single digit fidgeting??
I wll soon be in single digits -- 12 days and counting. I wish I could do a carry on but that will never happen!
Re: Single digit fidgeting??
Yes Suh! Single digit fidget here! 7 sleeps! Already packed except the carry-on! Can't wait!!
Re: Single digit fidgeting??
Tommorow with my ten year old boy. His fifth trip. Merry Christmas everyone.
Re: Single digit fidgeting??
10 more sleeps but only 6 days of work left. I secured a free plug-in parking spot very close to the airport at a hotel where I have stayed for work this spring. Just saved $150. More beer

Re: Single digit fidgeting??
To all you single digiters, envy isn't the right word. Just wish Negril was on my horizon too!! Oh well.....
sandman66, First class will be a nice ride from out west to MoBay. I assume Air Canada still has pretty good service??? The carry on idea is good but from my experience you will lose the rum in Toronto (assuming it is the same airline policy as the US). I was in Kingston a couple years ago at the Duty Free Shop ready to buy some aged Appleton and luckily the lady at the Shop alerted me that if I didn't have a non stop direct flight I would lose the rum. I bet there are some pretty wild Christmas parties with all the confiscated booze????

Re: Single digit fidgeting??
johng- I think I have it figured out LOL. We are going to check one small suitcase on the way home. And instead of buying at the duty free will pick up our bottles before we get to the airport and pack in our checked bag. I need me some cocomania and it's not available in Saskatchewan, not sure if you can buy it anywhere in Canada.
Re: Single digit fidgeting??
7 days tonight till we fly, I can feel the Jamaican sun on me already. No carryons here, as we are taking our snorkel gear this year. Give it a go this year with some snorkelling in between the many beers!
Soon Come
Re: Single digit fidgeting??
Yeah just make sure its in your checked bag and you will be fine with the rum. Our WestJet Flight in January you actually have to claim your bags so we can carry it on and then pack it before giving our bags back the next day.
Re: Single digit fidgeting??
Hey Crusher are you returning thru Toronto? I know sometimes we have had to claim our bags and re-check them. But not evety time. I hate that airport.

I don`t travel without my snorkeling gear. A few years ago I bought some travel size fins. They work great and fit in a carry-on size suitcase easily.
Re: Single digit fidgeting??
If you're careful, you can fit some pretty good fins in a carry on. We always take our gear as well, quality fins make a world of difference in your ability to get around easily, push through the swells, and dive if you're so inclined.
