PLayoff Games on the beach?
Hi - we're arriving in a few days, and my husband is lamenting possibly missing the playoffs. We're staying at Coco la Palm. Does anyone have any suggestions on where he can walk to watch the games and drink Red Stripe beer? From some older posts, I understand that Margaritaville shows the games - is that still the case, and are there any other options? Thanks for any comments. I need to keep him happy...
Re: PLayoff Games on the beach?
M'ville, Seastar on the west end, Treehouse may be an option. Also, on the first stretch of west end road, between Home Sweet Home and Canoe bar there is a bar on the seaside that has a big screen and they'll put on whatever you want. I don't remember the name of the place though...
Re: PLayoff Games on the beach?
We are in the same predicament as you. My husband will not be a happy camper if he misses the Patriots play on Saturday. I think our place (Riu Negril) has a sports bar that will have it on, but if it doesn't, we are going to head to Margaritaville.
Re: PLayoff Games on the beach?
If you end up at Margaritaville, we'll most likely be there, too! However - Go Packers!
Re: PLayoff Games on the beach?
We stay away from Margaritaville and their overpriced food and drinks and too loud crowd. The boardwalk on the north end of the beach is a much option if you want good food and drink at a reasonable price in a great nfl atmosphere. Sadly we will be traveling home this weekend:(

Doc's, used to be called Sky Bar? I believe they do have a TV at the outside bar.
Re: PLayoff Games on the beach?
If it was me I would call Seastar Inn and have them pick me up and drive me up to their place on the West End to watch it. Always a good vibe with multiple TV's as well as a projection screen. The owner is hands on and offers up a much better value than Margaritaville. They also have a pool if you want to hop in and float around with a swim up bar. It stares at the back of the TV's, but I believe you would have a side angle at the projection screen from a couple of the seats at the swim up bar.

You might be thinking of the No Name bar...they will put on the games you want & have parties for playoff games...but I'm never quite sure when they're open...
Re: PLayoff Games on the beach?
Ive stayed at CoCo many times and the big games are always on at the bar,and last time in November they had 2 new monitors in the old newly renovated bar. The owner is from Minnesota so unless he misses the mark [pun intended],you know field goal.........the game will be on.

No not Sky Bar, it's just a bit up west end road from there. I think Lisa/Bnewb is right. They have pretty good pizza, btw.
Re: PLayoff Games on the beach?
Yup...that would be the place, Tah. They built a pizza oven on the property.
Re: PLayoff Games on the beach?
Thanks. I guess the name is fitting then, I sure couldn't remember.
Re: PLayoff Games on the beach?
Travellers always has it on big screen tv's and projectors as well. They are closer to town. Bar is reasonably priced....better than MV....
Re: PLayoff Games on the beach?

Re: PLayoff Games on the beach?
Long story short, playoffs,,,no problem,,watched every playoff game that's been on when I've been pon de rock at that time,,
Re: PLayoff Games on the beach?
Thanks everyone for your comments. From what I can gather, I won't have any trouble at all finding a warm stool, cold drink, and big screen so my husband can watch to his heart's content!
Re: PLayoff Games on the beach?
Coco always has a crowd around the bar for big games.
