Favorite beach hotels??
So Iam realizing how much I love the cliffs as we have decided to stay on the beach for the couple nights in Negril.. If Iam going to be giving up the cliffs I need something that's walking distance to all the good spots, but also want a nice room! Budget is no more than 150$ a night if possible! Thanks!!

I also had a similar post, but my criteria included something towards the Southern part of the beach for easy access to the cliffs area. I narrowed the results down to Traveller's or Negril Beach Club Condos.

Re: Favorite beach hotels??
If you want to be around Bourbon Beach, try Bar B Barn, or right next door, Moms Place.

Re: Favorite beach hotels??
We are traveling with our family of 4, 2 kids 12 and 20. We wanted the same, on the beach and close proximity to everything. Our criteria for accommodations is safe and clean. We found a 2 bedroom condo on VRBO.com at Negril Beach Club. We can walk virtually everywhere on the beach and to the roundabout area. Will have to get route taxi to cliff side or have the SeaStar folks come get us when we go up there but I'm thinking our location is good. We rented the condo privately through the owner on VRBO.com As long as it is clean it will suit our needs just fine, we are the all inclusive, never leave the resort/hotel type of people.

lol, Nirvana would only fit this budget in a cottage when summer rates are in effect, even then it's pushing it with taxes. We love it there, but have only stayed in the Owner's Villa, which is out of the OPs budget. The cottages are set back further from the beach, but still nice, only no A/C.

Re: Favorite beach hotels??
I was looking at the rooftop one.. And we will be in Negril the 15th which I believe is summer rates

Sundeck studios are in a great location with an un-obstructed view of the sea. They don't have a full kitchen or cook service, but there's a decent fridge and coffeemaker. If you don't mind staying somewhere with no on-site bar or restaurant, I think it's a great choice. They have a huge beach, especially considering how few guests stay there.
Summer rates start May 1.

Re: Favorite beach hotels??
dude, I can help....low season starts april 16 in most places...that is my birthday, so i am sure of this..have spent my last 3 birthdays there during low rates...my choices....
travellors beach resort...stayed there twice, including a week during new years...pros--great pool, closest to town cons---a little too far south of the action, have to walk throught the shady area of the old t-water to get to the action....
nbcc---only the condos, not the motel part....con---small pool, next door to travellers, so same walk through the old t-water area...pro--huge beach
bar b barn----pro--location, location, location...con no pool...right next to bourbon, which is ok for us...
kuyaba---one of the nicer places on this end of the beach----
legends...my wifes favorite becasue they treat us like king and queen...great location
down a bit farther, about a mile or so
fun holiday
rhondell village---one of the nicer places we stayed
white sands

Re: Favorite beach hotels??
Thanks guys! Groove have you stayed in the honeymoon room at kuyaba?? Not many pictures I can find.. I guess Iam mostly curious about the view and if they are upstairs or Down/both?? I like balconies over verandas... Iam just not sure I can do this, I fell in love with the cliffs when I was there!! There's a strong chance I'll end up somewhere on the cliffs.. Either xtabi or maybe tensing.. I just wish those premium villas at the rockhouse weren't so damn spendy... It's hard to spend 400$+ on a room... Whyyyy is this so hard! Glad I haven't booked yet

Re: Favorite beach hotels??
Saeyedoc is nirvana in a area with good bars and restaurants close by? How far of a walk is BB
-
Re: Favorite beach hotels??
Ive stayed in the honeymoon room at Kuyaba. Loved it! Was on the second floor and had a huge deck with table chairs and one of those rope swing chairs. Nice big room with vaulted ceiling( I think) At the time it was a great price, not sure what the rates are now.
-
Re: Favorite beach hotels??
Prices are still great imo... Is there only 1?? Are they all upstairs?? Just curious if I'd have to mention that I want upstairs.. Thanks for the help!!

Re: Favorite beach hotels??
Nirvana is close to everything. White Sands is right next door, with daily drink specials. Next door to that is Rainbow Arch, a great, very small restaurant. That stretch of beach is bars, restaurants and small hotels one after another. You can just sit on the beach and many things will come right to you, fresh juice and fruit, jerk pork, patties, ice cream, on and on. What's BB?

Re: Favorite beach hotels??
We stayed at the Grand Pineapple in September and enjoyed it very much. Not fancy, AI, affordable and clean. Pretty much right in the middle of 7 Mile Beach. Food was simple and a little repetitive, but very good.

Re: Favorite beach hotels??
BB=Bourbon beach
Duh. It's about a 15-20 minute walk, quick taxi ride.
-
Re: Favorite beach hotels??
Lol! Thanks guys! Good info! Still not sure I can give up the cliffs.. But trying new things can be good

Re: Favorite beach hotels??
Loved the old Coco La Palm before the construction, now I think its to large and not as homey
-
Re: Favorite beach hotels??
nirvana is 20 minutes walk to bb......next door to white sands, which we just left....walked to bb every night...I have stayed in the honeymoon suite at kuyaba....it is upstairs....BIG balcony with swing and maybe hammock....not really a view, unless they trimmed the trees....it is next door to bb, could here the music on the balcony, not so much in the room...

Re: Favorite beach hotels??
The cliffs are awesome. I'm planning to divide time between both next year. I love the cliffs and the beach. Nirvana on the Beach is awesome.

I was going to say Nirvana. You can get a cabin there in low season for under $150. The cabins are great, the property is outstanding, and I consider it the best place to stay on the beach, period. Nirvana starts low season on May 1st, but an email asking for a cabin with your budget might get it done. I would throw the work cash into the subject line if you are so inclined.

Re: Favorite beach hotels??
Last sentence should say "throw the word cash"

Re: Favorite beach hotels??
Have a look at Rooms.....stayed in ocean view and garden view. Best beds on the beach, clean, huge beach and close enough to walk to everything and far enough you aren't kept awake. Stayed at Kuyaba in the honeymoon suite last year and loved the room, balcony was lovely but the music two nights a week was really loud and the beach area very small and cramped.
