Just checking if anyone who is there now could report on whether there continues to be rough seas. I've been hearing reports that the water has been pretty choppy since the storm last weekend, and that activities like snorkeling or boating could be a challenge. Does it seem to be calming at all?
You can see a couple of sea pics that I posted today in the thread "Some colourful photos"...they were taken yesterday afternoon.
The sea has been rough for the last week and dumped out some seaweed...but as you can see it's already getting cleaned up or has been cleaned up and the sea has calmed down significantly.

As of Wednesday afternoon, most of the swim boundary ropes and buoys were back in place, but the swim areas were generally shallow up in the Treehouse area. Afternoon breezes were still bringing in enough waves to keep the bottom murky in these shadows. A few more days of calm should help.
been flat here at Pee Wees for the last couple of days......put da ladder back in on Wednesday.....it comes out by itself when ocean angry
only missed four days of snorkeling thus far this Winter.......some years in past it has been close to a dozen or more days in Winter....
in the Summer it is always flat up till the end of August when some tropical storm stuff might start up.......

Sea is rough today and water is brown with what's washed in. Hoping it all clears soon!
Definitely the beach is taking a good hit today..now you see it now you don't...first it was the seaweed/grass all piled up from last weekends storm from up north..the sea took a lot of it back overnight & today & the sand with it!
Yikes! Arriving next Saturday and was hoping to do a little snorkeling. Hoping the seas calm down and the beach comes back a bit - heard that the beach had recovered a bunch before these storms. Is the beach at Nirvana doing OK - it had always been in the best shape in years past.

Everything is back to normal ..........Flat sea and calm breeze.......the only problem is along certain area's of the beach, the seaweed is two feet high......mainly in the Charela- CoCo Lapalm area..........the rest of the beach is seaweed free...............

Good to hear! Hopefully they get the seaweed squared away - arriving at Nirvana next week. Can't wait.
smooth as a pancake this morning off of Pee Wees.......snorkeling has been great!
