Just wanted to let the folks at Kuyaba know they did a fantastic job and I hope it draws more traffic to their establishment (but not too much). We look forward to our trip in March!

Yes the site is much better. Love that place. We've stayed in the Honeymoon a couple times.
Agree that Kuyaba is a great place. We plan to go there for our anniversary dinner on Feb 14th.
Those hammock chairs in the bar... how fun! I want to go there! We'll definitely swing by for dinner or at least drinks next month.
The hammock chairs were gone when we were there about 3 weeks ago
We stayed in their rustic cottage and loved our time there ( which was far too short).
First stay coming up soon, one of the few places I have not stayed.
i stayed . . . the rooms are fine, unless you get a person who is having a wild time next door all night long . . . headboard banging . . . real clean . . . loved the property except the bar, no vibe at all . . . ate there on many occasions, great food . . . the bar, not so good!!
Looks sweet. Hey anyone that's stayed at the "Rustic Cottages"- are these across the street or on the beach side? If Bourbon Beach is crankin- is it loud in the cottages?...
thanks- never considered staying there- but the prices look right on!
We had friends that stayed in the rustics, they are all on the beach side. A couple are located on the east end of the property by the parking lot. And a couple rustics are located near the bar. The reason we stopped staying there was the noise from Bourbon Beach. Although I think they are cracking down on how late they can play now. We want to go back sometime. The Honeymoon room is where we stayed, very nice. This video starts by the east end rustics, then past the deluxe and king rooms, then the Honeymoon (which I zoom in on) and then a couple more Rustics (behind Charlie the parrot) and on down to the beach.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EaK7qD16yg
years ago in the 80's & 90's the lot between kuyaba & bourbon beach was a music nite spot called "DE BUS" with an old double decker bus out front on the road. i saw many many great shows there, then it closed down & bourbon beach came at the next lot,, so my point is there has ALWAYS been loud music into the wee hours there & it was louder back then, right next door... Kuyaba is a great place, clean rooms, excellent restaurant/food, great staff, etc.. don't complain about the loud music because it is big part of jamaican culture, a gift that this small island has given to the whole world,, bring earplugs or stay somewhere else,, i am 60 years old now & i stay there every year & its not a bother.. so please stop complaining about the loud music..
Dont think it will be that quiet there next week:cool:Just sayin.

Rustic Cottage with Kitchen was awesome and hosted many late night porch parties!
Wow, don't folks have a right to their own opinions? Isn't the idea of internet message boards to exchange ideas? The loud music is an issue for people and they should know what they are getting into before selecting a property. It doesn't bother me, but I understand if it bothers others, sleep is a gift as well and a lack of harshes the vacation vibe for anyone.
I love Kuyaba, its in my top three for breakfast joints. I would stay there but the thing I don't like is when we checked out their beach and chilled there for awhile we observed a couple sales guys essentially running the beach. They were cool and all but it got tiresome listening to the pitches over and over while we were trying to relax. We also noticed that a couple large groups had spilled over from Legends and would just run back and forth for drinks while using Kuyaba's space. They were also giving the local sales guys drinks so I think that started to draw a crowd with more "stopping by" and the same scene kept playing over and over "hey can you get my friend a drink too? Come on! , its not costing you anything."
I don't know if it was just the two days we were hanging there or if they typically don't have their own lifeguard or security but it was an issue for us that will prevent us from staying in those beautiful cottages.
In Indiana - tell me more about the Rustic Cottage with kitchen! We are looking at that for next year. Our kids would come in on a package air/hotel at Legends right next door. We would use the kitchen for our open bar and floating buffet!
And anyone who knows anything about Legends, feel free to chime in for me!
