Club Mo Bay Departure story
Buddy got back from a week at Couples Negril. Didn't use Club Mobay on arrival, but due to storms on east coast most incoming flights were cancelled and he just walked through immigrations and customs, no problem.
However, fortunately for him he did use Club Mobay on the departure end! Arrived at the airport to find out his flight was delayed almost five hours! He couldn't say enough good things about Club Mobay!
His first time to Jamaica and Negrl, they are DEFINITELY going back next year, maybe this time they will get off campus???
His only issue was the amount of seaweed on Bloody Bay beach after rough weather last week. He said it took them a long time to clean the beach.
Other than a little stomach problem all went well. The stomach issue might have had something to do with rum??? :)
Once you go, you know.

How is that a club mobay departure story lol?
Re: Club Mo Bay Departure story
Club Mo' Bay is worth it X10 for both directions. I've used it 3 times and have always breezed right through. I love it!!
Re: Club Mo Bay Departure story
sandman66, they were able to chill for 5 hours in Club Mobay due to flight cancellation! Definitely beats having to wait in the terminal.
Re: Club Mo Bay Departure story
Club mobay is a lifesaver when you see 1000 people ahead of you in line..worth every dollar

I know, I read your post. But the headline made me think there was going to be a story. Telling us they spent 5 hours there isn't exactly a novel lol.
I have used Club Mobay myself.
Re: Club Mo Bay Departure story
We've used both departure & arrival 3 times now. Arrival was worth it every time. Departure was not. By the time we got our luggage checked - stood in line for LONG time every time, we only had about 1/2 hour to relax & get drinks before flight. We left for the airport 3 hours early this last time to make sure we could get the Mobay relaxation time and still didn't get our money's worth on departure. It didn't help our driver got pulled over for speeding 5 miles over the limit while leaving Negril. :(

Why on earth would you trade time actually in Jamaica to get to the airport 3 hours earlier, just to use CMB? That just seems insane to me.

Re: Club Mo Bay Departure story
Ok, Smith.
Now mi know the runnings there.
I always get there early, so now I know where to get a likkle sumpin, sumpin for mi belly.
That sweet and sour chicken sure would hit the spot!
They use to have a Burger King inside the Airport by the doors.
I would get that and sit outside enjoying my last few moments.
Gracias mi hermano.

I worded that wrong. I meant 3 hours before our flight. I think our flight was around 2:30ish I we left around 10:30ish so it was actually closer to 4 hours. In this particular case, if we would have waited any longer we would have missed our flight with the whole police fiasco and all.
We figured since we paid for it, we may as well use it and I don't like to feel stressed or pressured for time at the airport. Also, Club Mobay seems quite far from Southwest gate so we end up practically running to the gate as well.
Smith744 - Ok! :)

Yeah, we cut it a little too close for comfort sometimes. Our second to last trip, we made it with exactly one minute to spare to get checked in. We had to consume all of our subs on the ride there, I think my eyes were actually bleeding, and the lady at the counter was really giving us the hard look deciding whether to make us miss our flight. She checked us in, we went through security just in time, with our names being called over the airport pa system... good times.

Re: Club Mo Bay Departure story
Travel day is a grind even for a 1.5 hr flight. It's still 8.5 hours door to door.
Eight trips last year and at least as many this year.
Anything that makes it more comfortable is just fine with me.

Re: Club Mo Bay Departure story
FYI,I just noticed that Easter and Good Friday are at the same time as college and private school spring breaks. The last time this occurred restaurants were so crowded I couldn't get a table at Chill Awhile. Glad I booked Club MoBay again this year.
