Omar Needs Your Help...

WOW....it has been a long time since I posted on here and I hate that it has to be with bad news. My good friend and driver in Negril, Omar Scott, was in a bad accident this past Saturday. Omar was walking to the supermarket in Sheffield when he was hit by a motorcycle that was trying to overtake a car. He survived, but had to be rushed to the hospital. He took a big hit to the head and broke his knee and a bone in his lower leg and is still in the hospital. He is going to require surgery to repair his knee and leg so myself and some of his close friends have set up a Go Fund Me to help with get him all the care he needs.

Rob was gracious enough to contact me last night and give me permission to post a link to his Go Fund Me page. I know many of you on here know Omar, and to know Omar is to love Omar. He is a beautiful soul with a smile and laugh to match! We have set the goal for $1500 to cover the MRI's, surgery, and cost of transportation. This goal actually may be a bit modest considering how long his road to recovery is going to be. So if you know Omar and would like to contribute to his medical funds or if you don't know him and would still like to help, I will link the GFM page below. That is terrible, another MC accident. I will contribute for sure.

Omar has been a friend for several decades now, we are helping and encourage those who can assist to help out this righteous man.

I have already given a donation and I encourage others to do so. Omar is a gentle soul and should never have been put into this position. Medical costs in Jamaica are prohibitive to most people. It would be nice to see the new government change this but that remains to be seen.
