Hotel help
Been searching other threads but have specifics. They are.....
Bringing ten month old
Would like a pool
Bar (preferably close to the rooms so we can set up monitor)
Somewhat centralized location (we're cliff people so not super familiar with landmarks on beach)
Doesn't have to be anything fancy at all but considering ten month old security is a concern
I know there aren't many but an ocean view would be great considering we'd be limited in mobility
Really like the smaller hotel feel in which you get to know the staff a bit
Travelers, legends, and that group is too far at one end of beach I think
Some we've strongly considered are white sands, rooms, treehouse
Thanks for any and all responses

Re: Hotel help
Check Crystal Waters, very family friendly...

Re: Hotel help
I think one of the apartments at white sands would be perfect for you. Only box it doesn't tick is the ocean view.

Re: Hotel help
"Bar (preferably close to the rooms so we can set up monitor)" For real?

Re: Hotel help
What's wrong with that? What's the difference between that and hanging on my patio at home? We're far past getting wasted and staying up all night. We can't go socialize with adults at the bar and have a drink? So when she goes to bed at 7 that's it for us too huh?

Re: Hotel help
Treehouse works. Rooms on the Beach is great value and Usually has Block parties spontaneously near someone's room. Make it yours! Both have oceanfront. Your budget decides. It's great that you are starting your family vacations together in Negril! For real!!

Re: Hotel help
Try Negril Palms. Middle of beach, very safe, pool and lounge area very nice. Ask for room 109 with a crib. Room is very large next to dining room, just behind bar. Gardens and security are awesome. Very fairly priced.

Re: Hotel help
Easy peasy !!!!White sands is you place, small, very close family staff, nice little bar, vibe, lots of shade option for your little one, front desk people are the best, call them directly, and
tell them you want a room, beachside, close to the bar area,

Re: Hotel help
White Sands gets my vote. Stayed there for the first time in March and really really liked it. Our friends came for a few days with their three month old daughter and it was perfect for them (and us). We stayed on the garden side and the pool area was nice in the afternoon - baby slept in her stroller in the shade and we hung out by the pool. Another afternoon she just slept on the beach in her stroller. We took the baby in her stroller everywhere with us in the evening (dinner and drinks) and that worked out well for us. Didn't think about leaving her in the room with the monitor on but great idea as some of the rooms are really close to the restaurant and bar area...literally less than a minute walk. I don't think the restaurant at White Sands is open for dinner but if you are just looking for a bar in the evening, I think it could work out nicely for you. The bar at White Sands is right on the beach and attracts a nice mix of people.

Re: Hotel help
i used to stay at Bar B Barn with son --- rooms 118 and 119 can be monitored from the bar - by eye
as he got older, he would go out and they would prepare his breakfast while mom wondered why we were up so early
also arranged a sitter through them
