My friend said she wants to take/go with me to Bluefield's Beach.
She says it is nice there.
I have never been there, so this will be my first trip.

It's nice and off the beaten path. Love the south Shore. While around Bluefields stop in Belmont and pay your respects to Peter Tosh. Also recommend making your way down to Treasure Beach :)Quote:

I'll cosign what everyone else is saying. Definitely go there, and if you can go at high tide. The water washes up over tons of rubble at the high tide mark, and sounds pretty cool as it filters back down through. There is a little food shack/rum bar up on the hill across the lane. It's a cool place, with an awesome view of the hills coming almost right down to the water. We stop every time we pass through that way, even if it's just for a few minutes.
It is possible to get there by route taxi?

Yes, but I've never done it that way. I would guess you would want to grab a Sav to Treasure Beach route, then just have them drop you at Bluefields instead of going all the way to TB, but that's just a guess. Others may know better than I.Quote:

Easy to get to by route taxi. It is right on the main road. If you drive be careful there is a speed trap just before where i got a souvenir from a very serious red striper a few years back :)Quote:

Four of us stopped by there on a weekday afternoon last middle of February on our way for some seafood and we were the only ones there on the beach
nice trip to get there...you do go through sav la mar...some are a bit nervous as it is a bustling town but it is really cool...can really get the feel of the people...
My friend and his beautiful wife ran the Retro Roots Bar in Belmont, great people in Belmont, make sure to visit Peter Tosh family bar and restaurant great family and people, Monument to Peter and gardens.Quote:
