Can anyone tell me about it?
Thanks
Great location on the beach. Close enough to town to make it an easy walk. We had a two bedroom condo which was spacious and came with a fully equiped kitchen and balcony. Each of the two rooms came with two double beds, in addition there was a double bed off of the living room and also a pull-out couch. So in theory, a two bedroom condo, at least the one we had, could sleep up to 12 people comfortably. There was only 5 of us, so it was more than enough room.
I stayed there in May. I love staying there. I was in a studio on the 3rd floor. There was plenty enough room for me. The beach is wide. I booked my room through Jean Gaynair. Jean and her staff will take very good care of you. Here is the link if you are interested. http://negrilbeachcondo.com/ :)
Thanks both!
I have stayed there too many times to count now. Its nothing fancy but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Has an awesome beach, nice pool and the last time I was there the hot tub was even working. They have a bar and a cafe, not sure who's running it now but there's tonnes of places to eat, drink and chill really close. We spend time at Travellers, Bar B Barn and Bourbon Beach when we reach. Jean is good to deal with as well.
Thanks again. Any concern about the noise? Looks like it's right behind Bourbon beach? We will be staying with our 6 year old son
Stage at Bourbon Beach faces away from the NBCC. I have never really noticed the music myself. My wife has trouble sleeping and she's never had any issues either.
depending what side of the complex you are on....the noise could be an issue.
I'm a bit sensitive to noise and wasn't bothered in the slightest recently at Beach Club Condos.
There are always variables, like wind direction or the most obvious - how loud the music is being played. But that can be true at any property.
Bourbon Beach is several properties away. I have stayed at the Beach Club several times and never been bothered by noise from other properties.
what was your room and building number??
Negril Bech Club -- Hotel Section and former timeshare units
Negril beach Club Condos -- individually owned units and managed by Jean.
The entire property whether you are in a hotel unit or condo all share the same amenities.
I've stayed there so many times for many years and I have loved each and every time. The staff is amazing and the beach front is wide. They have a hired security company at the front gate and then individuals who provide security at the beach and property. I've stayed in studios, 1 bedrooms and 2 bedrooms in bldgs A, B, C, D, G, H and J. I've never had an issue with noise -- some of the trips, I think we were the ones making the noise :)
The entire property could really use a major uplift including the restaurant and bar. Units are cleaned daily and Jean and her staff will ensure you are well taken care of.
From one of my trips, I had questions about the layout of the property so I did a map using Power Point. I'm no artist or designer but it does give a pretty basic idea of the layout of the property (I don't know how to make it smaller -- sorry)

I stayed there in July. it was perfect. No noise from Burbon beach at all. I stayed in a 2br/2b second floor building F.
I will stay there again this fall.
Large beach with a lot of shade. (perfect for 6 year old)
Best patties in Jamaica next door at Jamrock ($3 US each and made to order)
Security was great (Hi Beverly)
After staying at many places, NBC will be my home away from home.
I have read about break-ins etc but that has been some time back. Maybe with the new security company etc things have improved. I have stayed there several times but was never overly impressed with the units or condition of the property. Jean is however very accommodating and professional.
Yes, there have been many property improvements in the last couple of years. Rooms are basic but the balconies are huge and covered which is great on a rainy day. We have probably stayed there 2 dozen times since the late 80s. The beach is so wide you never feel crowded. Do make sure you book through Jean. If you are looking for more upscale this is not the place to pick. We have stayed in more upscale properties and keep ending up back at the Beach Club.
I booked through Hotels.com because they have a good rate and I like the loyalty program they have. When oyu say Book through Jean, does that mean Hotels.com will somehow be a lesser experience?
Thanks,
ST
There are several entities at the Beach Club. Jean Gaynair rents privately owned condos know as Negril Beach Club Condos. The beach club hotel portion also leases some condos but it is different management. Those that have booked both ways (I was one of them) prefer working with Jean. http://negrilbeachcondo.com/
I booked through Expedia this year and paid a little less than I was quoted by Jean. The other advantage for me is that I can book with my credit card which has trip insurance built into it so no additional costs. Plus add the flights and hotel together generally means a 150 bucks less a person by the time all is said and done. Although Jean will take a Credit Card they charge some fee over and above what the sites do. I'd go back to if this turns into a pain in the ass but we have stayed there enough that I am not anticipating any issues. I guess we will see though.
Yeah they charged me 5% to put the deposit down last year. Our friend DK is going to be there with us again this year and she's staying with Jean in one of the properties that she looks after. Been going there for a while as you know figured I would give this a try and see if the 400 dollar savings are worth it or not.
