Chickster...good catch. Yes, they have the solar lights on both toll roads and various other parts of the island.
Re: Driving Jamaica Style!
Wow! This looks a bit different than the old road to Negril that I still dream about.
Re: Driving Jamaica Style!

Unreal - did you say MoBay to Negril? How long does that drive take now? I thought the new road went from Ocho to Kingston! This looks great.

The toll road essentially goes from Ocho Rios to Kingston.
We averaged about 3½ hours. Going to Kingston from Negril was under 3½ hours and going back to Negril was just under 4 hours.
This was without speeding...and for those that know me...it's true, I really didn't speed..lol.

JD...funny you mention that :) ...because it can be a hilly drive like the Mandeville/Spur Tree road...they've built escape lanes for cars with brake problems etc on this new road.
Re: Driving Jamaica Style!
I got on this toll road by mistake ( those round abouts are killer for me) I started freaking out because I thought there would be no exit until I reached Kingston. I even thought about backing up on that thing...sigh. Anyway I soon realized it's just like in the states and they have exits and entrances a long the way. What an experience. But yes that road is REAL nice!
