Worth every minute!
Door to door?
From the time you leave your house until you throw your suitcase on the bed?

To the roundabout, about 12 minutes...
Don't rub it in Rob! Haha
I've had flights from Boston that take just over 4 hours in the air. Of course, I prefer to get to the airport early, so it adds an extra two hours. Then the drive from mobay.... so about 8 hours I guess.
I'm flying from my hometown this April, a new experience for me. It adds time because I can't get a nonstop, but I leave my house around 4:30 am and arrive in Negril around 1:15 (local time) or so... 9 hours in all, give or take. Well, 10 with the time change.
Great topic!!!!
GO BRUINS...
Door to door from Philly this trip was a little under 9 hours.
Regards,
Bob
We leave at 6.45 Vancouver time Friday morning....
arrive 7.45 Friday evening....worth every minute...cant wait
Leave house for airport 5 am for 7 am flight and usually check in to hotel at 5pm.......soooooo......12 hours.......
Leave house at 1030 pm and will arrive in Negril next day 430 pm. Long night/day, but will do it again to be back "Home".
Door to door, 14 to 18 hours depending on the time between changing planes and which city I go through...no direct flight from where I am. Gotta move to Florida!
Took me 32 hours and 5 planes one time....and will never have to do that again, ever!
Left home at 8am for a 45 min drive to Ft. Lauderdale Airport and put my luggage on the verandah at Y Worry Cottage just about 3pm.
Guess that makes it 7 hours door-to-door. (The flight left a little early so I met Linston early as well)
So quick you hardly notice the change from Florida to here.
Peace and Guidance
This trip is not a direct flight.... 5 am flight from Dallas ... arrive Miami... Arriving MO Bay... 11:58...so around 2:45 arrive at Catcha.... 10 hours travel.
Man, the new road to Negril really makes a difference for everyone. The old road could sometimes take 10 hours just to get to Negril.
Especially when the road had fallen into the sea. It was "fun" sort of, but I was also in my 20's ...
We were running about 9 or 10 hours from Ohio. We should knock that down substantially from the house in Florida. Looks like flying out of Orlando is the best all around option, direct flights on Jet Blue rather cheap. I will look further into the options as we would prefer to fly out of Tampa.
Up at 1AM, drive from Brandon to Winnipeg...............2.5hrs
5AM flight from Winnipeg to Toronto.........................2 hrs
10AM flight from Toronto to MBJ..............................4 hrs
MBJ customs and Immigration..................................1 hr
MBJ to Negril with 2 beer stops................................2 hrs
The view from our door as we enter to suite...............Absolutely priceless

Sigh the flight etc is nothing compared to the 12 week wait!! Bright side is that it's finally double digits!!!
About 20 hours for me (Vancouver/Toronto/MoBay/Negril). This trip will be the first time I have requested wheelchair assistance to the gate but don't know if this will speed up or slow down going thru customs/immigration on arrival in MoBay). I can walk it if need be, but would need to take a rest break every 100 meters or so. I will find out on Wednesday!
From rural middle Tennessee about 12 hours each of trip. Somehow the 12 hours coming home seems much longer because of leaving Jamaica returning to work.
4 hour drive to T.O., wait at airport for about 2 hours, 4 hour flight to Mobay, 2 hrs to Negril (depending on where Linston takes us for food and beverages!) Soooo, 12 hours.
This trip...4 hour drive from Hooterville to MSP airport. Be at airport at 3:00 am. flight at 5:00 am. go to Charlotte, then arrival time in Mobay at 12:47 pm Hope to at The HAPPY PLACE AT 3:00??? IT'S WORTH IT!
This Friday morning, I'll leaving my place at 4am and will be at White Sands by 3pm (with 6 hours of flight/layover time from Buffalo and assuming heavy rains won't slow up the transfer to my hotel)...

11-12 hours door to door, ITH to PHL to MBJ to Negril (via Champion!). About the same going back, but the sadness . . .
We live about 15 minutes from the Atlanta Airport. But we park our car at one of the hotels (parking at the airport is so expensive and Uber isn't licensed to enter airport until January 1). So leave house at 6:00 a.m. Make it to hotel by 6:15am on shuttle to airport about 15- 20 minutes. Plane leaves for MBJ at 9:10 we get to MBJ at 11:55. About 2 hours to Negril. So I guess about 8 - 9 hours. But so worth every single minute. Can't wait. 12 sleeps and a wake up.
If everything runs with railroad precision... about 12 hrs from near Green Bay, WI. We don't count the flight time anymore... that's a fool's errand from here. Better to begin the clock at disembarking the plane door at MoBay.
3 hour drive to Midway (so we can take a direct flight) + 2 hours at Midway + 4 hour flight + 1 hour at MBJ + 2 hours to Negril = 12 hours of anticipation :)
from Tampa, FL.....10 hours flying American or Delta.....12 hours on Spirit.....killer stop in Ft Lauderdale.....ugh
from Orlando, FL......7 - 8 hours.....Orlando has nonstop Flights.....but mi gotta drive an hour and half to airport...
usually mi fly from Tampa on American.......mi der for months so how long it takes mi doesn't really matter to mi....
Cool Runnings, Marko
Let's see. Leave Lincoln at 5:30 for a flight to Atlanta so we're in the car at 4:00am. 1:15 arrive in Mobay but that's 12:15 our time and arrive at our hotel an hour or so later not counting stops for stripes. Bout ten hours.
From feet in the snow to toes in the sand, Winnipeg to Negril, 10 hours......aahhhh. 94 sleeps
12 hrs door to door
Last year we changed it up a bit and will do it again this year. We are in Boston and leave in the afternoon on Friday, spend the night in Charlotte, then get an early flight to MBJ.
Takes longer, obviously, but allows us to get in early and avoid the bad lines (the non-stop from Boston gets in at 2:30, I think). Also we save a lot of money on airfare AND don't have to deal with the potential for a blizzard in Boston completely messing up our return home. We spent 3 hours in customs coming home in 2015. No more.
