Great addition to the neighborhood.
We stopped in yesterday and split a 1/2 jerk chicken dinner. Came with callaloo and rice
Very good jerk. Got hot jerk sauce on side. Nice burn and great flavor.
This place is now our go to place for jerk on the cliffs
Went last night, dinner was good. 1/2 jerk chicken with peas/rice served with callaloo. All in all good.
Only thing I am dissappointed is when it was Ahbees place was always a go to lunch spot. There sign says upon 11am. Yesterday was the on,y day this week there was any signs of life there before 1 or 2pm.. Stopped in around noon yesterday. Asked when would chicken be ready and they said 30 minutes. We ended up having Mango Tree lunch. At 2pm still no chicken ready. I'm fine with them not serving until mostly the evening but please change the sign that says open at 11am.
I miss Aahbee and having burgers for lunch!!
Timm...we'll make sure the message gets passed on...if you haven't already.
It's not unusual to see a place that says they're open at a certain time here in Negril (especially during slow season) and it's not up and running until later...but since Miguel just opened very recently...maybe we can "nip this in the bud".
Agree with Tim. The place has good food, but if you advertise that you will be open for lunch... be open. They've missed out on a good amount of business from at least the crew here at tensing since they are never ready at lunch.
Just spoke with Miguel...he WILL be open for lunch...he was managing the chicken farm and should have closed for those few hours this week. He thanks you all for the reviews & looks forward to seeing everybody.

Open, but no food is ready, and the fire was just started.
Well, we bought best six platters of chicken/pork at best in the west yesterday, guess I'll go get a taxi.
Looks like this place is more of a dinner destination as opposed to lunch.
I personally feel bad for Miguel, as he's a brand new business owner working hard to get his restaurant running and having opened just over three weeks ago...but...maybe he should remove the hours signage until fully ready to go.
Great to hear his food is good...that family does rock the chicken!!

Sauce is so good, I nearly had to smack someone. Chicken is juicy, tender and hot. I had the pork the other night, but it cannot hold a candle to whatever this man is doing to that chicken.
He's got three grills going, so I imagine at busy times, the wait will probably be shorter than other roadside places. $500j for a quarter chicken with bread for lunch. Ya!
Delicious, and if he stays there, will become a mainstay for future trips.

It's was great the other night... Juicy.. Tasty.... So we are returning tonight.... A friend had the goat yesterday and she said it was to die for... Way to go Miguel, you are winner. Everyone needs to make it a part of their stay!
