Shameful, I know. Is Half Moon Bay still a chill place to visitit?
We throughly enjoyed it in the past.
Last I heard it is still going on.
Half Moon Beach is still a great place to chill. They recently added and off-shore bar called Calico Jack's Pirate Shack (think Pelican Bar), which is a fun place to grab some lunch and drinks, and have a snorkel.
However, please note that on certain days tour boats come in from Montego Bay and those guests fill-up the beach. It might be a good idea to call ahead and ask when they will be there, so you can avoid them.
Where is that?
It's around Green Island, about 20 minutes north of Negril. You've passed the little roadside sign on the drive to Negril.Quote:

We have stayed at AI's
Sometimes we stay at an Hedo for a few days and party lock a rock star and then move down the beach and chill
Ask wifey to try both!

Ya Mon, good place to chill! Good snorkeling there too! Just a place to chill away from da crowds a bit. Try out Pamela's Food Shop before you get to Half Moon. It's in Orange Bay, across the new looking big building by Wharf Rd. If you are headed from Negril towards Orange Bay it's on da left. Good FOOD there, CHEAP too!Quote:

Is there a fee to get into Half Moon and a fee to go out to the island?

Stayed there a long time ago. It was killer snorkling back then. it seems as though a hurricane filled in the bay when i went back, but I didnt get out of the bay right in front. It is super chill out. Very peaceful. Not sure if a gentleman named Ti still works there, but was such a good friend to make.
