What do you like to bring home with you?
Hey there Boardies!
I can always tell when we are getting real close to our next trip because our big bottle of Grace ketchup is almost gone. That's right, we don't usually bring home booze or coffee, but we cant live without our Grace. :D
I was wondering what other things the good people of this board like to bring home with them from their trips to the island. (besides sunburn, hangovers, and bug bites, that is) :p
So, what items are a "must have" for you at home in between reaches?

Re: What do you like to bring home with you?

Re: What do you like to bring home with you?
A must is some All natural, Organic Coconut Oil.
Contact Linston or CaptD,...... they make it.
I always bring a bottle home, but I must start bringing 2 bottles.
I miss it sooooo much when it is gone.
Also seasonings from the market in Sav.
for my summer time BBQ's

I get my coffee on eBay, and yes, it's genuine Blue Mountain. And it's much cheaper than on island.
I bring home Grace catsup as well (have a few orders from friends too), Tortuga Rum cakes, Rum Cream.

Re: What do you like to bring home with you?
A few kilos of various Easy-Spice products. Okay, we actually buy it by the pound, but it sounds better (and illegal to my coworkers) when I tell them kilos! A few boxes of sorrell tea.

Bob

plus some type of easispice seasoning, guava jelly, and usually a bottle or two of pickapeppa (because it's cheaper to buy it in ja than in ny).
i also usually try to sneak back whatever produce i haven't been able to finish up before the end of the trip-i got busted with mangos on our 2013 trip but was able to sneak back a few scotch bonnet peppers and a huge bunch of fresh thyme this trip.

Appleton was a must for me, mostly bc the amazing price !
Question - how does one get cooked food into the terminal thru security to bring back, I thought you couldn't bring food thru, so we always get stuck crap at the airport LOL

Re: What do you like to bring home with you?
Hey Jomack,
Once I brought back a pot full of cooked pork and onions, etc.
No problem, ladies at Security scanner just smiled.
carried it on board and made sure it did not spill.
This was 10 years ago.
Maybe things changed.

Re: What do you like to bring home with you?

I didn't bring back food until about 7th trip lol. I kept seeing people on the plane with food containers and smelling that good food. It's no problem through security. My sister did get some honey in Likkle Bay that they would not let her take through security due to size, but so far food no issue
