Does anyone have any experience lodging at the Charela Inn?
I just had breakfast there last week and it looks like a great place to stay! I plan on looking into it my next trip.
i have eaten there twice. Great food. Wondering about the rooms.
I've stayed there many times. It was the first place I stayed in Negril. I can't recommend Charela highly enough! Great staff and location. The food is top notch also.
We have stayed a Charela a few times. The rooms are basic, clean, in room safe. Nice beach with lots of shade and the staff is wonderful also. We really like it and are going back next year.
Glad to hear the good reviews. We are staying there for the first time in November
I LOVE Charela!! If I am staying in Negril and it is a trip without a kitchen, I honestly wouldn't stay anywhere else.
I agree with everything said above. I've been staying there since the late 90s whenever I go to Negril. It's my go to place on the beach. Also the best location. Excellent restaurant! And I like the staff very much.
We have been staying there our last 4 trips. The large beach area with plenty of shade from palm trees is the main reason we love Charella. The rooms are more than adequate. Its not a 4 star hotel but I do not expect or need that in Negril
Thank you everyone for the feedback. The shady beach sounds great as my wife and I have very fair skin that burns easy. We've stayed at places where the beach shade is hard to come by.Quote:

We prefer to stay at "quiet" and search out the party when we want it. It's usually nearby, and their Thursday & Saturday music shows are greatQuote:

We are in the junior suite right now and loving it. There isn't a party every night so the wife and I make our own party. ;) No complaints from either of us. Ha

Charela is charming in every way. We have stayed there many times and have many meals there if staying on the beach. Wonderful staff!
We haven't stayed there yet, but Charela always catches our eye when we walk by. The shady beach looks very nice and we love the quite. On our bucket list for sure.
Great time to be in Negril! One year stumbled upon a super bowl party at Coco La Palm, as they had a giant projection screen on the beach. We stopped in, grabbed dinner and watched the game.Quote:

We've watched 8 of the last 11 superbowls in Negril. I hope to enjoy the game no matter who is playing. I live in Steeler country and I don't care much for them this year.Quote:

Super good friends of ours, who have been going to JAH since high school, and have stayed in more then a few places ALWAYS stay at Charela
We watched the Super bowl two years in a row at Hedonism. Amazing halftime show! Ha!
We like it the rooms are clean and the beach does have lots of shade. The music on Thursday nights is great!
