Depends where you shop. The Chinaman shop will be the best price in Negril I guess.
The liquor store in Sav sells a box for 4,800 but that's not where you're going to shop I think

Have a Jamaican buy it for you and it will cost way less. Used to have a cab driver deliver cases in the orange returnable crate and we were under $1.00 per bottle.Quote:

I bought a case of Red Stripe, a case of water and a cold Ting, gave him $40 US and got change. Didn't count it though, just shoved it in my pocket. It wasn't much.

But, you're still averaging around 4000J in Negril and many other locations around Jamaica.
Weeboy...I'm not sure where you saw a case at 5000J...I've never seen it that high.
And, no offence to anyone...but I'm really not going to run around while on vacation trying to pay $5 less for a case of beer. Though, I don't enjoy paying 500-600J for a single beer in Kingston...lol.
I just stopped by the Chinaman shop and they are also j$3300 per case. That seems to be the "rock bottom" price at all the cheapest stores, and that is for a full case. Six and twelve's are more expensive for Red Stripe.
On a side note, j$250 seems to be the lowest price on the beach this year for a Red Stripe.

Why does Red Stripe cost more per case in JA than New Jersey? I can 12 packs for $12 each, so $24 a case. And yes, this is the imported, brewed in JA stuff.
Just looked - it's a sale price... but regular price is still $13 for a 12 pack, or $26 a case.
It is usually $14/15.99 a 12pk here in our neck of the woods, Florida. Whatever it costs in JA is worth it because it tastes 2x better!
