Shoot me, correct or ignore. I have joined and surely been hit and miss on this board. I can attest to my brief history … I still check in.

I find you have a wonderful crazy connection and history and help those lost souls. I revisit the board these days … what's to talk about. Few things here and there, but it is about the boardies. It astounds me that you all can dominate this site … maybe you need a revisit … or shoot me. I see help …. it's all about your experience and I am going to get crucified.

Bring it on … you all are such a wonderful history … I challenge how you all can dominate a site of goodwill that by it's very nature excludes. Boardies … Rob … is it social or boardies 20 years past. Take a breath and look at the Boardie Site. That is 80% of what you are. I am awaiting.

We held our 20th annual Boardie Bash just over a week ago, so that would explain many of the posts that you have been reading. We had a great gathering at Skylark and do want to thank everyone once again.

Contrary to be exclusional, the term "Boardie" is highly inclusive. In fact, by definition, you are a Boardie!

The term was first used on the Negril Message Board in 1997 by a poster who wanted to address everyone who was reading the Board. The name stuck and we still use it today.

The first "bash" in 1999 was called the"Meeting of the Board" as a way for people who read the Board to meet in person. This past Bash was notable by the number of people who attended who have never posted, but have only read the Board.

The roll calls may seem exclusional if you are not coming that month, but it is another way for the participants on Negril.com to meet each other in the flesh.

There will probably be more posts about the Bash, but don't feel excluded as you are a Boardie and can attend any of the annual events!

That reminds me, I have to take my meds....

I too sometimes feel confused, but when i touchdown in Jamaica, all my questions and thoughts are answered, Its great healing

And i`d like to give this time to thank everybody that frequents this board as a ghost or as a poster, all my questions are always answered and even a couple members take their time to PM for more helpful insights without me even asking.

I've been on this board since the mid 1990's and still haven't received an invitation from Rob to attend the Boardie Bash in April!!
Every year he has a different excuse!!!

All kidding aside, Rob has created a wonderful environment for all of us who love and cherish our experiences with Jamaica and especially Negril.
This board has had many changes over the years, but the fellowship of Boardies has always remained strong!
