Traveling in July with a early flight home..anyone know what time the shops open at the airport?
Good question. I looked around (for maybe a minute) and could find no hours listed for the shops. Here's the webpage though - you could call your favorite and see what time they normally open.

which shops?
retail? buy at your location....
food.... there's got to be something
duty free... I'd imagine with the way it's set up that they are open from first flight to last
Between Red Stripe gear, Bob Marley stuff and Havaianas I spent as much at the airport as I did anywhere on the trip. Great stuff available there.
I'm going to get in trouble. Can I ask why you would not visit and holiday and support local artisans … to shop at the last minute at the airport which is hit and miss I find offensive. Sorry … maybe get some of that made anywhere but Jamaica. I know products are sold ligit from jamaica at the airport, but why not support local artisans and enjoy the culture you came to visit.
Carrie, where in Negril can I buy legit Bob Marley or Red Stripe gear? Maybe you find it hit or miss but I do not. I buy a ton of stuff at the airport because after a week in Negril I did not find items like those at any of the shops in town. Maybe you can tell me which local artisans sell Red Stripe or Bob Marley t-shirts and gear. And ones that are not cheap knockoffs or the like.
It's not like I'm not shopping in Negril during my time in town. For example, I can't wait to get another hammock from Seastar. But if you can't get what you want but know you can get it at the airport, so be it, who cares?
sorry but I’m rolling my eyes at this one , please don’t be presumptuous that I do not support LOCAL I always buy stuff in town... i’ve been going to Jamaica for the past 13 years .. never had such an early flight before so wanted to know if the shops were open because I do like to browse and buy a few things . so for you to assume that I don’t buy stuff at local shops .. well sorry you’re very wrong 100% as a matter of fact the reason WHY I am traveling to Negril is to pick up a very special wood carving that was carved for me from a local artist named Octavius in Negril.
Here is the carving from the LOCAl ARTIST I am picking upAttachment 51502
was at the airport around 8:30am a week ago and not all the shops were open..many were just opening up...like in the food court area
if you need specific Red Stripe Beer or Harley stuff the airport is an easy place to pick up things......likkle pricey......but not gonna kill you
found the booze prices not that great as compared to years past......they are getting up there for whatever reason

Deanna those carvings are just beautiful. Where is he located at? I myself spend a boat load while in Negril. A few yrs ago we bought a Bob Marley t-shirt on the cliffs. My brother in law put it on and it was dry rotted. We just laughed it off. I also shop at the airport. I always seem to pick my spices up there. Those people are still working and earning a paycheck in there so you are helping out. Thats how I feel about Club MoBay. Nice people working to welcome you to Jamaica not trying to swindle you.
Hey Miss Honey! I am soooo excited to pick up my carvings! It's amazing how it totally has all my dogs features! Octavius Art is located in Negril Craft Market. I stumbled upon his work on Facebook and asked if he would be interested in making a carving of my dogs....well to my surprise...
Yes, I like to buy my spices at the airport as well :) I love Club Mobay as well....very nice people working there that always remember us when we travel
Heres a pic of my dogs so you can see how spot on and talented Octavius is:)Attachment 51504
Octavius recently opened his second shop in the craft market, but he has set up shop and can usually be found along the beach set up at Negril Beach Club Condos - that is unless his situation has changed in the past two months.
He does great work and we will often give him a project idea when we first arrive, and it is completed before we are ready to return. Never been disappointed.
Deanna I just message Octavius. He had me send him 10 pictures of our dog and wants a video. he said it would be ready in Sept. Thank You.
Yes it is walkable. probably about 45 min it depends on how many rum punches you stop for. step out to the treehouse hotel turn to your left on the beach and start walking.
