Just booked next two trips

Just booked round trip from Illinois (MDW) 2 ppl, a little over $1,025.70 with early bird check-in and taxes
Love SW but they are coming up with some weird scheduling. We normally have one stop in Houston and this trip they wanted to schedule 4 stops which is 6 airports in 11 hours. They have point to point destinations and whether on line or on phone that’s all you can book. Per SW I had to puchace multiple tickets to shorten the route to 2 stops and 10 hours. Delta and American are showing outrageous fares of 3,600 a couple for February. But I’m booked and going and very very happy!!
Booked SW last week driving to Orlando for flight $780 RT for 2 non stop .
P & C .............. you are correct about the fees and taxes ............... our flights from Fort Lauderdale Florida to MBJ are a total of $290 per person round trip. Of the $290 total ticket price, $176 are US and JAH government fees and taxes. So Southwest is getting a grand total of $114 per person round trip.
Checking a flight for my son from Dallas going from Nov 21-26th it clocks out at $583 ... not sure if anyone else can beat that price .. from what I see it's the cheapest so far .. and one stop in Houston ... if anyone knows of anything cheaper let me know thanks !
I know those dates are not optimal but that is his only timeframe
We are flying southwest Reno to Fort Lauderdale 2 of us, cost 16900 points and $354 round trip in Dec, then from Fort Lauderdale to MBJ on Caribbean Airlines used all rewards but I think it was $150 each round trip.
We booked for late January. We had to book before February so we take advantage of the travel vouchers we received when our flight slid off the runway last year! looking forward to skidding down to Jamaica again! Yee Haw.
Just booked for end of Aug. out of St. Louis. Flying out American Airlines coming back on Southwest. Cheaper this away and times were better.
I just booked today on SW for our trip in December. ATL - MBJ: RT for both was $808. We have to fly into Ft. Lauderdale going (only 1 hour layover) and we come back through Orlando (2 hour layover). That is not bad considering that RT for the two us on Delta (which is the only non-stop out of Atlanta) was $1600. And since we've been seeing on the news here how Delta had an unexpected cost because fuel went up (duh) I don't think their flights will come down to $808 for two. I'm happy. Coming with a crew and we can't wait.
Southwest now booking through April 7.
A few more weeks and I'll be price comparing!!!
On our local news tonight Southwest announced new flights including a non stop STL to MBJ flight. Nice to have a new option.
Long Bay, do tell more please! We are in SE Iowa and would rather hit STL nonstop to MBJ than Chicago Midway to MBJ. Can't find anything on a nonstop.
Thanks Livin' for the heads up! I was just able to book SW roundtrip for March out of Chicago for $400 less than AA has been quoting.
Phil and Cindy hope this link helps. https://fox2now.com/2018/08/30/south...n-stop-routes/
Wow Caribbean Airlines just cancelled all Sunday flights and that messed up all our plans and to scramble and ended up cancelling Caribbean and paying $361 more to fly Southwest all the way...at least we're getting all our money back from Caribbean Airline
Southwest will be releasing new schedule for April to mid-June 2019 around Sept.27th
P & C we're flying out of Duluth through Chicago and Chicago is non stop to Mobay. We are going in March and I think as a connection that flight is still available through United.
I flew to JA last year on SW; Boston to Midway to MBJ.
This year; direct BOS to MBJ on Jetblue.
Not sure in November is considered off-peak, but last April we did the trip with SW, and stayed at CCLP.
This year travelling in November, staying at CCLP, with a direct flight was only $300 more staying two weeks opposed to one week.
I can't go west then south!
I always go through BWI on SW.... it's hard to pass up that JB BOS > MBJ nonstop... but this year, I'll land about an hour later and only spend a few bucks on taxes by booking through SW with points. Still arriving before noon.
I hate getting up at 2 and driving 45 min or paying for a hotel for 5 hours when flying out of BOS at 5-6 am.
I AM taking the JB non-stop back to BOS though! Should land just after 8 pm.
ffs... they are holding strong to the 27th
The only reason we went Midway last year was price. BWI was much more, but also flew out of Manchester, which is cheaper to park, and easy to get in and out of.
We are on the 10:50 flight out of Logan with JB; no getting to the airport at the crack of dawn, and still pull into MBJ a little after 2pm.
Flights did open yesterday through June 8!
Booked!
Booked for May! Bringing several newbies, looking forward to it, it's been 5 long years. Trip # 10!
been flying SW since they started flying from Tampa to Ft Lauderdale to Mobay......about 3 years now mi guess
can't beat the 2 free checked bags and carryon.......wow isn't that great
this past year had a three hiccups with SW....luggage was missing for 2 days in Mobay at Christmas cause flight was overweight...
then plane never left Tampa one time this Spring....had to take taxi back home and get up at 3am for flight next day
this last time left Mobay super late and missed connecting flight...was put on a later flight...
but maintenance problems canceled that flight and was stranded in Ft Lauderdale and finally got a room at midnight
got up at 5am for 7am flight back to Tampa......got a $125 voucher for luggage thingy and $100 voucher for canceled connecting flight
major problem with mi was these later SW flights like most airlines.......so will stick with the earlier SW flights
still SW a better airline that Spirit........Spirit always hours late and have stranded mi.....Spirit sucks
the landing at Mobay is steep mi think at $44US per passenger.......
shucks some Jamaicans only make $50US a week......kmt
Jamaica Passenger Levy$20.00
Jamaica Passenger Aviation Service Charge$4.00
Jamaica Tourism Enhancement Fee$20.00
