Mega-Mart on the way out of Mobay. Probably your best bet.

There's a duty free liquor store on the arrival side of the airport wher you can get the liquor

Re: Things we are looking for in Negril
Kimbobwee is correct .............. MegaMart has a separate liquor department carrying all or most of the items you were interested in. The rest of the store is like Costco with racks and racks of products including Diet Cranberry, wide variety of beer, soda, etc.... Also a nice selection of bakery items, fresh food, frozen foods, household goods, and on and on.
You can bring in some of the higher end liquors in your checked luggage just in case you can not find your required brands in Jamaica. We usually repackage our favorites that come in glass bottles into empty liter plastic soda bottles (and put them inside of a gallon ziplock bag) to avoid the repeat of a unpleasant surprise of a broken bottle upon arrival.

That is a great tip !! Will likely do both .. bring some and buy some ..

Re: Things we are looking for in Negril
We buy our vodka at the duty free store before departing. Have found this to be much cheaper than mega mart. Since we are through security we just carry it on with us.

Yes the duty free liquor store on the arrival side of the airport after you exit immigration has about the cheapest prices on booze in Jamaica.....
In July a Liter of Tito Vodka was $21.50 which is a steal...the stores in Negril get $4,000+J's for that Tito Vodka
and pretty sure a Liter of Absolut vodka was like $25US at the airport arrival store......booze and wine isn't cheap in Negril......
Myers Rum is hard to find now and it's over $2,000J's for a Liter bottle..use to be $1,050J 4 years ago at L&M Market
JB White Overproof Rum that all the locals drink is over $2,000J's a bottle now....use to be $1,500J just 18 months ago....
mi personally favor the Wrey & Nephew Captain Morgan blended gold rum for around $1,200J a bottle....
don't get it confused with the Captain Morgan Spice Rum you can buy in N America....totally different
mi favor it more than Myers Dark Rum and it's a lot less money.....most of the stores in Negril have it
only thing cheap these days in Negril is the ganja and the red plate route taxis......that's about it
Cool Runnings, Marko

Yes, with a slight detour. However, once you're inside getting checked out may take a bit. Just like any other large store.
Depends on you desire to get to Negril ASAP. My experience is about 20 extra minutes

Re: Things we are looking for in Negril
I think we will have our driver take us there and then we can get most of what we want to stock the villa so when we get to white sands we can start the party!!

Re: Things we are looking for in Negril
The party should start upon boarding in your home town! By the time your toes are in the sand you should be all warmed up!

Re: Things we are looking for in Negril
Where is the duty free store on arrival?

Re: Things we are looking for in Negril
The duty free arrival location at the airport is limited on selection..but of course very good prices if they have what you want

Re: Things we are looking for in Negril
Try contacting Any Likkle Thing you need on FB. They can probably track down all that you need and deliver to your hotel.

Re: Things we are looking for in Negril
Great to read this post! MY daughter and I are gluten free, so are looking to buy Titos vodka. Marko, you said you got Titos at the airport? Will the liquor store be easy to find after clearing immigration? That would sure make it easy for us! What about wine, is it sold there too?
We definitely need Diet Cranberry juice and/or diet 7-up or other diet soda. So, would the best plan be to get the alcohol at the airport, and then stop at Mega mart for the diet mixers? And also hookworm medication. Those are one my “to do” list on the way to Negril! Getting excited - 3 weeks to go!

Re: Things we are looking for in Negril
Canadacan...I just had a friend come into Montego Bay and they did not have Titos vodka...I'm not sure if this is just a temporary/stocking situation or if they've completely stopped selling this item.
Titos is sold in a couple of shops in Negril...crazy expensive the last time I checked in December...approx 6000+Ja.
Again, there's no Costco...but you can pick up your mixers easily at the Mega Mart or other grocery stores in Montego Bay.

Re: Things we are looking for in Negril
Canadacan...if your are checking a bag....maybe just bring the vodka on your checked luggage. I just brought about 5 or 6 mini Black Boxes of wine.....I double zip locked them but it worked great..and less money then trying to find and buy at the store and the time issue as well...

Re: Things we are looking for in Negril
I've bought Tito's at the green Super Market & the little grocery store across from Pee Wee's on the West End Rd last year.

Re: Things we are looking for in Negril
Any idea the cost of champs there? I am a champs and pineapple juice LOVER. Nothing better to start my day than in Jamaica than with coffee, coconut water and mimosas.
