American Airlines every October.

Every year!

Would love to use my Citi Bank miles but they only let me book flights with stops as I've checked....no stops for me in the winter it only invites potential issues with weather or connecting flights & so on.....ORD to MBJ my preferred America Airlines nonstop only for me...3 hrs 46mins..I'll gladly pay more...maybe use them for domestic flights eventually.

I have one of those $20 bills. Worthless but fun!

Southwest card and miles

Get a rewards card for ALL your monthly expenses and take advantage of airline card promotions such as spend $$$ in the first 3 months and get 50-60K reward miles. Cancel the card before it renews a year later.

It takes a lot of miles but if I am spending the money why not use my card, pay it off monthly, stack up the miles, fly for cheap, ya mon soon come :)

Yep, 3 out of the 6 legs for my 3 winter trips were paid by air miles!

This year I'm half and half on my flights to JA, but have used miles for domestic flights in the last year and love it. I plan my finances around building miles with JetBlue and Southwest.

I save $900. us using my miles, and one time they didnt take them (grin) that gave me another trip :)

With Southwest you still have to pay the governments fees and taxes. Southwest miles will not cover them. Runs around $176 ! !

Same with Delta. Costs me $140 in taxes each ticket each year. However, with the price of tickets the past couple years for us...I'll gladly pay 140 pp.

yeah it can be $1000,00 or more for 2 of us so $280. for two is a deal and if you book early the flights are not that bad !

I booked our trip in March 2018 long count down but everyting criss mon !

Been going to NEGRIL since 1999 and only used travel miles! Sometimes twice a year,and sometimes 6 flights(kids and friends)multiple rooms(not paid for with miles). It’s really not a complicated thing. Truthfully we use the card for everything we would normally pay for with cash. That is key! If you can’t afford it don’t put it on a credit card! We pay it all off every month(no interest).
