We’ll be on the beach September 28 until October 4th. Just a quick fall trip for my birthday.

I was looking at hotel rates for the beginning of October and I was very surprised at how big the discounts were. The rates were reduced substantially for a large number of hotels. Can't say the same for airfare from Tampa or Orlando though.
Packrat....any hotels in particular look like a good deal for the end of October?

I didn't look at the End of October, just till mid month, CCLP, Idle Awhile, Tree House, Pineapple, SATP on the beach all had deals as well as Catcha, Tening Pen, Villa Su Mer and others on the Westend

Screw it, what's better than 1 week in Jamaica?? 2 weeks!! Our dates now changed to 9/28-10/12. First time ever for a two week trip for us. There are advantages to both kids being off at college at the same time I guess!!

I've never been to Negril in October before. I'm usually Jan/Feb and July. Coming at the end of October - 10/22 - 10/31 with a group of seven, three are newbies. What can I expect as far as restaurants/bars being opened. I know some close until November. Anyone have a list of what's opened and what's not?

I was in Jamaica most of the summer, at my home in Westmoreland. Back in the USA now (Gee, sounds like a Beatles song. No wait that was "Back in the USSR" :) ). I think I'll return to Jamaica in October in time for my birthday (Oct 14), and stay through November. But not sure yet.
I was booked but canceled due to the SOE I'm a night hawk and need action in my life!:)
