Do I cancel my Oct plans or not is the question! :culpability:
Why would you?
Cap
It looks like the government will be extending the opening hours for businesses, stay tuned...
One the one hand, news of the extended SOE may frighten people not familiar with Jamaica (ie. potential first time visitors), on the other hand the extended state of emergency may just keep allsafer. (safer = better). I doubt many “Old Timers” would worry themselves about this news.
I wouldn't cancel anything. I barely even noticed the SOE when I was there in July. Just some occasional stops due to roadside soldiers inspecting your car. Like I'm in one of those war-torn African countries?! (What's the point? I don't get it.).
But then again I'm not generally out in the wee hours of the morning.
BTW where *do* you find live music in the wee hours of the morning?
I was there in July as well and it's not about the SOE for me that's NOT the problem...it's about what I like to do when mi reach...I enjoy my late night shenanigans... lol
Live and/or Music - (Jungle, Scrub-Dub, Miyard, Alfreds, Roots, Bourbon, Yard Beach, Local parties) and the list goes on...
I enjoy late-night shenanigans too ... So come on over to mi yard, IRIEchic (not Miyard ... mi *yard*). :)
I just heard from a friend, a Canadian currently visiting Negril, that there was another murder yesterday. This is 2nd-hand info, but she told me she heard 6 shots outside her rented room on Norman Manley Blvd, and then discovered that a local - the guy who runs Happy World Car Rental - was shot dead. And she was just referring me to him a few days earlier as someone I could rent or buy a car from. I guess not any more...
Mi still coming in a couple days... :)
yes it is true.
