Very sad and very frightening for us that live/vacation in Jamaica...
At this early time the facts are sketchy....
Believe the Italian lady was most recently associated/manager with Banana Shout...
Mi had seen her for awhile in Negril....and her husband
My condolences go out the family and friends of the deceased..
Brings back bad memories of an acquaintance Claudia Lebeil from Germany that was murdered some years ago at the hands of a Jamaican ex boyfriend.....
This is very sad for all of us right now...
There needs to be more done to sufficiently protect us in Jamaica.....

I have heard that the man was Ozzy of 420 Blvd beside Rondel and flag city. Please let me know as he is a dear friend and brother. I was just texting Ozzy the other day about our upcoming visit. If anyone can tell me with certainty whether it is my friend Ozzy or not would be greatly appreciated

this is terrible . just kills me to see this happening in Negril. blessings to the family of the deceased . we did know a Patrizia from Italy first at grand pineapple and then at a spot down the beach. she did have a jamaican boyfriend but i believe she went back to Italy and this is someone else.
This hit Lisa and I rather hard. We've known Patrizia for decades and I just spoke with her the other day when she was leaving Burger King with a bag of fries. She didn't like catsup so she gave it to me.
Such a silly trivial story but it is my last memory of her. We are missing her and sending prayers to both families.
She had been going back to the Mediterranean during some of the past summers...
So sorry to hear this horrible news...Ozzy was so nice and easy going. Will miss seeing his smiling face. My daughter has a big collection of his carvings from our visits over the years.

Ozzy was our first Negril friend we ever made 10 years ago. We just naturally hit it off and became fast friends and family. We would stay in touch over the year via text and met up over every December. He taught us many things on what to watch for and introduced us to many new Negril friends or even other tourist friends. I had just talked with him a few days before this tragedy. I’ll remember his smile and laugh. RIP my brother.

Patrizia has been working here as had her husband. For the "robbery" to take place the way it did, with the removal of a large refrigerator, means there is more than an simple "robbery".
Regardless of the motive, this is a terrible tragedy. I will miss seeing Patrizia's smiling face and seeing Ozzy on the beach. Very sad but will celebrate their life.
