Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
Are things running smoothly at Sansgter when arriving after filling out the form online? Should we fill out the paper form on airplane as backup? We are also using Club MoBay once again and they recommended the online form in our confirmation email. Thanks much and soon come!

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
We arrived Saturday at 3:30. Filled out form on line and on plane. H people were directed to use kiosks but the line was long so we went down to immigration line. Line was so or seven times around but only took twenty minutes to see official. I told her we did form on line and also gave her paper form. Three minutes later the two of us were done. Customs just waived people through. Did the on line form make a difference. Honestly not sure. Perhaps if more people are doing it, it makes the long line move faster.

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
How close to your travel date would be recommended for filling out the online form?

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
I did it the Wednesday before.

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
I am confused by the whole process. So if we fill it out on line then we can skip the kiosk I guess. Then when we come down to bottom floor can we get back into the kiosk line which is shorter?

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
I filled out on line about 3-4 weeks out & filled out the paper form just in case from reading everything...came down to the main floor told the person that we had online they pushed us to the front of a short line straight ahead and when I came our turn to go in front of the officer told her online it was done..the same thing with customs...went smoothly considering I've been coming here 27 years now & rarely does anything go that smoothly

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
Filled mine out online while waiting for my ride to the airport. Same experience as Rooster. Short lines for online!

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
Thanks. I did not tell anyone but next time I will and maybe it will save me some time.

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
Anyone else having problems filling out form on line. Tried several times yesterday and today and I am getting privacy error and warning that connection is not secure. I even tried different search engines.

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
Filled out on line. On arrival (Feb 08) we were told that we must still go to Kiosk. Took 5 minutes more. No big deal but I wish they would be consistant. We still beat our bags to the carrousel. They are doing something right!

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
I filled ours out online with no problem. I also filled out the paper form on the plane. We arrived at 3pm on a Saturday and the immigration hall was as busy as I’ve seen it. We used Club MoBay for arrival and because we had the paper forms filled out we were able to skip the kiosks and I’m sure saved a lot of time. Until they finish working out the bugs in the online system I recommend also filling out the paper form.

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
I filled ours out inline and no one knew what line we needed to use so they still sent us to the kiosks. IMO the online form is too new and not any use yet.

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
I thought the whole idea of the on line form was so you did not have to use the kiosks. I wonder if you can get into the kiosk line and then just walk by everyone waiting for the kiosks.

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
We used online form and a printed form just in case for our Nov reach and people who used the kiosk beat us by 45 minutes but it was a busy Saturday and the problem was the imagration people not knowing where to send us when I said I did it on line. Still going to do it both ways and stop at kiosk if it looks super busy in April.

Do you happen to have a link to the online form? I can't seem to find it. Thanks.

I used Firefox for a browser and still got the privacy warning. Just click "advanced" and then go to the bottom of the page where is says "accept the risk". That worked for me.
When you fill out the form on the plane, the immigration officer has to input all the details into his computer and that takes time. When you do it online, all the information is loaded already and appears when he/she scans your passport. Maybe a few glitches still but when everyone goes online it should seed things up. Also, first rule when landing at MBJ, never ask airport staff where to go or what to do. They haven't even got a clue what day it is. Chances of getting a right answer from them is 0%

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
Susieq,
Which line to go to seems to be the million dollar question here. We are arriving this Saturday at noon so I will see the lack of communication and different lines soon. I guess no one knows for certain.

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
Still seems the only true known way to save time getting through the airport is Club Mobay...for the money, it is a reasonable way to begin and end your trip.

When we arrived 2/18 it only took us 15 minutes to get through the kiosks and immigration, about the same amount of time to walk from the jetway to the kiosks lol.

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
Such a gamble! On our last 6 trips we've used Club MoBay Arrival Only. Two of the trips it was a waste of money as there was no line in immigration or customs. The other four trips were way worth it - huge lines in immigration. We don't go into the club so that is not a factor. Based on the 4 trips, we will continue to pay for the luxury.

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
I have used it at least the last 20 times I have been there..of course the one time I thought I didn't need it was last October the off season so I didn't get it..and It took me an hour and a half to get out of the airport..

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
We did the online when we arrived this week...….. The main thing you need to know is you don't have to wait in line or go thru the Kiosk's...…… Just walk like you are with Club MoBay and bypass all the lines...…. When you get to the Immigration hall...…. Walk over to where the Club Mobay info booth is and turn left into a single line that takes you to the online registration position ....... although it is not marked very well that is where you need to go...…. Just don't ask or listen to the people that are directing the arriving guests..... End of story..... we were outside 20 minutes after getting off the plane.....

Kwhizz thanks so much for clearing this up. Now I can worry about more important things like getting a Red stripe.

Re: Online C5 Immigration/Customs Form
Completed C5 Immigration form today for March 27th arrival. No issues; just a welcoming message, 'See you in Jamaica.'
