Just a guess but I think it's photoshop
It looks very much like a concrete finger pier. It's been along time but I did walk the beach last year and I don't remember a pier that looked like that.
Of course I haven't been everywhere......
To be honest it looks like the finger at the river superimposed over the beach....
last time i was in negril i walked from footeprints to legends and can't remember a pier, and it does look like the same pier used elsewhere on the page
How do you know it is for certain a photo of Negril beach? Which photos go with which descriptions?
It reminds me of Rhodes Hall - gonna check some of my pics
The pier at Rhodes Hall is similar but appears to have a bend in it - and lots of land in my pictures (no land in the ad)

Keep guessing...
Looks to me like each location is listed first, then the picture that it goes with it right below the place name. The layout is not very well-done - so it appears to be confusing, but if you look carefully that seems to be the idea. (the web designer could have made it more clear if they had put more space after each photo instead of the next place name directly underneath the previous photo -- or used some other kind of clear delineation between each description)Quote:
Which photos go with which descriptions?
also doesn't look like anything i've ever seen in negril on the 'main' beach either -- maybe it's at one of the Bloody Bay A/I's?
i doubt it's photoshopped - that amount of extra work doesn't seem logical when there's literally thousands of stock photos out there of beaches; the more likely scenario is that (if it's in error), it is a real photo, just not of negril
as miss blue stated, all the pics are labelled . . .
Not Negril
yep that seems to be the consensus. But just cause it's not a place you know of - or I know of, that isn't a definitive conclusion. theoretically, it really could be 'somewhere' in negril - just not a commonly identifiable spot.
i've not been to any of the beach areas at any of the Bloody Bay A/I's - and it could be one small pieca beach at one of them -
Unless there's one person who's really been to EVERY single inch of the entire negril beach, we can't say definitively.
It appears to be a photo of the beach described right below the photo, Doctor's cave beach in Mo Bay. Search for pics of it and you can see there is a cement pier there.
Each photo is above the description. There is no photo above the negril 7 mile beach description.
I also say not in Negril.
must be photoshopped...the wave at the beach would have broke around the pier, not hugged it.
I think it is the south end of the Hedonism beach. It has been many years since I walked that far up the beach.
not Negril.......all those first 5 shots including da first are about two hours from Negril........
on the other side of Montego Bay.....
the first five photos with the concrete piers are shots taken outside of Montego Bay looking back at Montego Bay as you head out towards Holiday Inn Sunspree, Rose Hall, the Ritz and Half Moon resorts.........
and not going towards Negril.........
and once wi have a good size Tropical Storm or Hurricane.........
dem concrete piers are history and have to be rebuilt.......
that is why you hardly ever see any of dem.........
Cool Runnings, Marko
definitely NOT Negril ..no where no how .. been up and down dat beach from the tips of Bloody Bay to town MANY times ..
Hey Marko! I resemble that remark! LOL Yes the IceBoxGals know how to pour them down...how else do you think we stay warm up here!!
There are actually 2 cement piers at Rhodes Hall Plantation (stayed there last January) and both have a view of some reef and land. So my vote would be that this pic is either photo shopped or of somewhere else other than Negril.
