Is there still a problem getting Red Stripe? Is it just bottles or cans too? Any info would be appreciated-we are flying in Feb 25 and since we only drink beer (no liquor), we are a bit concerned!

Hallelujah! I am ashamed to say that I found the very idea of a Red Stripe shortage in Jamaica extremely concerning. As if Jamaican overproof rum is a horrible option during a freaking pandemic. SMH at myself.Quote:

Unless you drink Red Stripe Light, That seems to have disappeared. Checked Progressive, HiLo (MoBay & Negril), and Mega Mart. No Red Stripe Light to be found.

I read a great alternative on here to Red Stripe Lite, if not available, pour your Red Stripe in a glass and add ice. Melts in no time creating Red Stripe Lite! Not gonna lie, I liked it!

And the problem has reared its ugly head again. No Red Stripe in Negril last night. HiLo, Green grocer, Value Master and the store in Coral Sea Plaza all out.

Sorry, bought out the Value Master. Found 18 bottles there Sunday morning. My brother is on his way from MoBay with two cases of bottles! I don’t know where he found them. So far have only found it in cans at the bars and restaurants.
Have cans of Red Stripe been in short supply or just bottles?
Both... Value Master had a few cases of single bottles in their fridge on Monday and interestingly enough the bottle caps had once again changed colour.Quote:

Actually he did. He made three stops and finally found bottles at the MoBay HiLo. I’m not a big fan of the cans we are getting at bars but so far those have always been available. Even more rare than red stripe is the light. Plenty of koolaid flavored stripe.
