2022 Boardie Bash Info for end of April

Since the past two years have put a hold on our annual Boardie Bash, this has given us an opportunity to revamp the one day event. Normally held on the last Friday of April, we are having an expanded event that will help more of the Negril business community.

Although we have permanently retired our live webcasts in 2016, there will be events for those who remember our twenty years of weekly webcasting events. These will be to bring back some fond memories from the past as well as introducing those newer to Negril of what Negril.com was doing some twenty years ago.

There will also be events held at some of the new "not to be missed" places for a true current local Negril vibe. So whether this is your first trip or 30th trip, everyone should have a great, authentic Negril experience!

The events will focus around the still main last Friday in April date, this year will be April 29th!

Starting on Wednesday the 27th, we will be having a Sunset Party jointly at Canoe Beach Bar & Grill and Quality's Seabreeze located on Mary's Bay Beach on Negril's West End. The party will start at 5pm until 7pm, with sunset at 6:30pm. Both places are stumbling distance from each other and share the same beach, so feel free to mingle between both, meet and make new friends while enjoying our famous Caribbean sunset. You can choose to dine at either restaurant, or have a few drinks before returning to your hotel to start your evening.

Since we have had requests for live music, on Thursday the 28th we will be having a band playing after sunset at a great spot on the West End called 87 Apples Lounge. Starting at 7pm (band at 8pm), Jerk Chicken and Steam Fish will be available as well as cold beverages to keep the party going. While the band is taking a break, the owner will have her karaoke machine set up should anyone want to take the stage! The party will continue well into the night!

On Friday the 29th, the annual Boardie Bash day, we will be having a beach adventure - multiple places, and the details are still being worked out. So stay tuned!

On Saturday the 30th, the show at Seastar Inn starts at 7pm, please call 876-806-7004 (also on WhatsApp) for their FREE shuttle from and back to your hotel and admission is free! There is a dinner buffet for us$20 or you can even order off the menu. It's worth every dime if you are even the least bit hungry!

The Seastar Inn Saturday Night Live show will include the Seastar Singers featuring Sasanya and Tucker as well as the Seastar Drummers! This will provide a second night of Live Music for the 2022 Bash, two venues for live music only Negril can offer!

And to wrap things up on Sunday May 1st, we will return to the original Sunday webcast location for brunch at Cafe Goa! We will be meeting up at 11am and going until 2pm.

After the two difficult years we have all been through, we hope that we have come up with a schedule that will provide everyone with a set of new unique memories from our fabulous Negril!

The permanently retired webcasts will remain permanently retired. The old webcast locations are included to relive some of the memories for us "old timers" and to allow the newer members who missed the webcasts to find out more about them from firsthand participants. Things were quite different on the internet back before Facetime, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok...

By all means be sure to try 3 Dives, but for the 30th - Seastar Inn is the place to be!

I remember a Boardie Bash at Seastar Inn back in November 2007!!!
Correct me if I'm wrong (Rob usually does), but I recall at least 200 Boardies at that BASH!

Rob, this sounds incredible. I love that you are indeed spreading the love. I am not an "old timer" but I do miss the webcasts. I think I came on board around the time of their demise. They are what got me over to Cafe Goa the first time and that is where we first met you. Lucky to have bumped in to you this last trip at the bar at Westaire/Home Sweet Home. We are thinking about coming back in mid May if I can find airfare that doesn't break the bank. Always missing Negril. Much love and appreciation for what you do and have done for years.
