What kind of car are you looking for in Jamaica?

Rob....sell him your old car. I bet you could get $5-$6,000J for it, but only if the gas tank was full LOL.
I have been all over Hanover and Westmoreland helping our long time driver find a newer van. Lots of product on the lots so you shouldn't have a problem finding one. Start at Happy World Car beside where the old Vinnie's was and make you way towards downtown. I see Elvis Rental across from Sun Beach has a full lot as does a compound beside the new hospital. Finding one shouldn't be a problem and with so much product available, you might even find some deals. I'm not sure if a local car would be an option (not for me) but the vast majority of what's out there is off the ships from Japan. If buying local is OK get a Saturday Gleaner but only look at the vehicles that are "lady driven", again LOL.
The majority of the less expensive dealers are in Mandeville, so checking the beach road area for "For Sale" signs on cars is a good option to do first.
Be sure to buy a common car, like a Toyota Corolla or similar. You want to make sure parts are available on this end of the island.
The more common, the more often you see one on the road the better.

I sold my last car during the pandemic as it was just sitting around while I was at home in U.K. .
As mentioned it’s a right hassle purchasing a car in Jamaica but I’m scouring the classifieds hoping to find the right car .
The Nissan AD estate car seems to be popular choice for economy & reliability so have my eyes out for one of these or the Nissan wingroad , the Corolla is definitely a pick as well .
