The rain has arrived.
Been in town for a week and it's rained every day. With yesterday a monsoon, but it's needed. 1st time staying on across street from beach in over a decade. I miss the west end to tell you the truth. Beach is really slow right now , when sun is out its as beautiful as ever. Food wise star of the show has been Best in the West both times we've dined there it's been very good. Biggest flop has been Charela Inn , we tried they're "deep dish soup" , I mean deep dish pizza , bad would be an understatement. Beach bars are the usual suspects Sunbeach , WhiteSands, and Alfred's for us , consistently good drinks and food and service. Book pack go they need visitors!

Re: The rain has arrived.
Great Pics! Sorry about the foul weather though. Since you're on the road, you should give Colettas a try for a meal, I had some great pasta dinners there (Stan the Man got me on them).

Re: The rain has arrived.

Re: The rain has arrived.
Well we're back home, but it was another wonderful trip. My biggest take away was how expensive drinks have become on the beach? We're either gonna have to cut back or make our own drinks or hit the lottery. What we saved on taxis by staying across the street from the beach I think we gave back to the bars? Already planning the next one ......... come on August. Peace out....

Re: The rain has arrived.
I hear you Jambarney. I just got back as well. 9-10$ for an average well rum or vodka drink at many places. I buy my bottle at duty free and mix my own or wait for an appropriate happy hour.

Re: The rain has arrived.
Big time and some drinks were $12. Lunch, a few waters each, 3 or 4 beers each, and a couple mixed drinks easily over a hundo. Go take a shower come back for sunset and a few more drinks during sunset and a 50 spot and then you have dinner, and if things get a little wild and you stay out til midnight or so way over a hundo again. Good thing I bought a powerball for tonight.

Re: The rain has arrived.
VVHT , the best thing Nash could do with that Patriots flag is fold it up and cut squares and make napkins out of it! JUST KIDDING ...... I bet Nash will love it my friend. Enjoy your trip buddy, one day our paths will cross again.

Yeah, I mainly stuck to buying red stripes while on the beach unless I hit a happy hour at either Rondel or Coco. Loading up on Stripes and Kingston 62 at the Megamart to drink when hanging out at my hotel beach helped as well.

If Flag city had a bathroom, I'd suggest you use those cut up squares for both your flags for something else! :biggrin-new: Go Bills!

Re: The rain has arrived.
It's all good, we actually did visit with a real nice couple from Buffalo at White Sands. Due to the dominance of the Chiefs over the Bills our NFL conversation was short only lasting 13 seconds or so.

That was a good one! :biggrin-new:
I was going to retort with a moral high ground crack about drugged alcoholic coaches, alcoholic felon QB Dads, Wife beating RBs, Sexually assaulting QB brothers, and WRs that run over people... but then I remembered that we have Von Miller (or who I call 'Von Loser')... :biggrin-new:

Re: The rain has arrived.
It's all good Ukran, I was hoping you'd get the 13 seconds part? Hey man hopefully we bump paths at the same time some day and can have a cold stripe or 2 .
