West End Tales: May 2024

2 hour flight delay!
Club Mo Bay was waiting! Olia did a wonderful job!
Immigration Hall was empty!
Used the E Kiosk for Immigrations. Quick Quick!
No line at Duty Free! No Crown Royal, so had to get Oz CRown Royal XO US 90!

Grabbed my checked luggage and found Oz waiting patiently outside!

Off to Valerie?s in Sandy Bay for a few cold ones! Valeria let me know Mangos are in season!

Quick trip to Negril, flew through Lucea!

The mega resort in Green Island is coming along!

Water trucks were filling up at Orange Bay water station. This will be a constant theme this trip. Water trucks everywhere on beach road and west end!

Off to Mi Yard to have a few with Delroy, Loyd and Pearl.
Sad news, Sybil has passed. She always took good care of me on da porch! RIP Sybil.

Dropped of some belly bombs for Rob.

Headed to Seastar Inn. West End road up by Negril Escape past Catcha was lined with candles for a funeral.

Big Birthday Bashment at Seastar. Seastar lane was packed with vehicles!

Chris showed me my room and went out and knocked back a few with Chris, Peter the builder and Garrett. All the staff at Seastar greeted me with a big hug!

Legendary night at Seastar with a very special guest singer!

More later, breakfast has arrived.

Headed over to the Fisherman’s Village last night with Baker and Garrett.

We stopped at Denise’s and I bought a full que for the house. Sat outside and watched the coming and going’s in the hood.

Headed back to Seastar for jerk pork and rice and peas. Delroy did a good job. Oshin worked the bar and had a good crowd.

Seastar Saturday night:

Seastar was having a birthday bash! It was an all white party and even the kids were dressed up nice!

The band was awesome and Sasanya went on stage for three songs!! She was a regular singer at the Saturday night show at Seastar and was outstanding!

During the party they had three performers doing a fire show!

I have videos of all this, but technical difficulties with uploading. Working on it!

Up early, long swim/float in the pool.

Met Baker for breakfast and Brittany did a wonderful job!

Ashley drove us downtown.
Quick stop at Scotia, NO LINE!!
Stopped at Times Square to buy some t-shirts!!

Back to Seastar.

Having a wonderful time here at Seastar and the West End!

Brittany is my server this morning.
My usual, lots of coffee, orange juice, Spanish omelette, hash browns, bacon and toast. With a generous pour of Francine’s Hot Pepper sauce!

Wicked thunder and lightening last night, but no rain!

Chilled yesterday afternoon at Seastar. Was in the pool three times.

Rob and I went to Xtabi for dinner and were seated right on the cliff.
Jenny was our server and did a excellent job keeping me and Rob Happy!

I had the stuffed chicken with Callao, Rob had the steak tips. It was delicious!
No lobster as it the season is closed.

Ashley got us back to Seastarfor a few cold red stripes. Lively crowd at the bar!

A couple of us headed over to CC’s later for a few more.

Satin my porch until the wee hours watching Mother Nature light up the sky!

Chill day at Seastar yesterday. Three trips into the pool to cool off.

Rob showed up and we headed downtown to do some shopping. Ended up at Rocky?s for a few cold ones.

Stopped at Country country. All good Russ!

Stopped at Hilo at Boardwalk Village but was closed due to Labor Day in Jamaica.

Fortunately NCB was open. Wizzed downtown and stopped at Stop Shop for a few more cold ones. Dropped Rob off and headed back to Seastar for a jump in da pool. Oshin is looking good tonight!

Chilling for a couple of hours.
Baker is coming over for dinner, then the Seastar crew is headed to Mi Yard!

Next door at MX was a private Labor Day Party. Good tunes while we sat on the deck.

Yesterday after breakfast headed to Boardwalk Village ATM and HiLo. At NCB only one ATM working and it was having issues. Did some shopping and headed back to Seastar for the rest of the day. Hot day, so three trips to the pool .

Layed low most of the day due to heat. Had curry shrimp for dinner (AGAIN)! Yummy!

Chilled at the Seastar bar with Baker, Garrett and Delroy. Oshin was excellent keeping us happy!

Slept in this morning and hit the pool around 7:30. Grab a cup of coffee and chilled on my porch. Breakfast was my usual.

Now just back chilling.

Headed over to Fisherman’s Village around 5pm. Baker and I are hosting an ice cream party for kids in the Village.

Into the pool early, chilled on my porch with a hot cup of coffee. The usual breakfast.

Ashley picked me up around 1, we picked up Rob and headed to Sav. Stopped on the can road at Negril Stop near the Blue Hole.

Once in Sav we parked in the parking lot near QQ. It was busy busy in Sav. Did some shopping and sat at QQ for a few. Donovan I who worked as a bartender at Xtabi a fews years back stopped by to chat with Rob.

Headed back to Negril. Stopped at Rocky?s for a few cold ones. On to LTU for dinner. I had chk Lola with pumpkin soup. Rob had the Bouglenaise.

Headed back to Seastar and had a few with the crew.
